            I had a reservation for 2 days from ********** at a decent price, to be paid at the hotel. When I arrived there I was told that the price went up because of the eclipse. I agreed to the increase I was informed about (I had no other choice) and I paid. We stayed there ( no shampoo, dusty furniture but clean towels and clean sheets). Now, a few weeks later, I checked the credit card statement and found 2 charges - on the arrival day and on the departure day. I only paid the charge at my arrival. The 2nd one I had no clue about and therefore was done without my approval. I called the place and I was told that the 2 charges are for the 2 nights. ( I was under the impression that the charge I paid was for 2 nights). Very disappointing that they did not honor the price on the reservation, and they charged twice. It turned out to be an unreasonably expensive stay for the quality of it. In all my travels I have never had charges on the last day and never ever the price on the reservation was not honored. Lesson learnt for me : pay on the spot, online. Do not wait to pay at the property, because they can then say that the prices went up.
