On 04/10/2024, I brought my vehicle in to be checked for a noise the vehicle was making when driving. After dealership did their diagnosis, they said that my transmission needed to be replaced at a cost of $8400. Yesterday, brought my vehicle to a transmission repair shop for a second opinion. After they checked my vehicle, they determined the cause of the sound to be wheel bearings that could be replaced at a cost of $1200.

The service manager held our car for over a month after our ********* with only **** miles on it broke down due to a failed CVT. A class action lawsuit took place, stating that an extended warranty may be applied to ******* with failed CVTs up to 84,000 miles. I called consumer affairs who requested information from ***** regarding our claim for weeks, with no cooperation at all whatsoever from ******. I visited ***** personally at the dealership a month later, where he lied to my face, stating that if it was up to him, he would do the right thing, and replace our failed CVT under the extended warranty. ***** from consumer affairs confirmed that over a month later that ***** never submitted the claim that he told me that he did. ***** accused us of having different tread and miles on our tires, stating that is why "*****" isn't going to apply the extended warranty. All four tires have the same exact tread and miles since they were put on. ****** then reverted to saying it that the tire size was too small. I referred to the owner's manual where there was absolutely no evidence stating our tire size would cause transmission failure. ***** then stated that he could have his electrician write something up, further confirming that there is no official document stating that our tire size causes transmission failure. I also referred to ***** VS ********. On top of that, our car broke down out of state, resulting in a $$$$$$$$ tow ride home. We took my husband's ******, assuming that it would be reliable. ***** lies have caused us much stress, and we will continue to get this matter resolved even if it means taking legal action. Due to the level of stress and how long this is being dragged out due to ****** negligence, lies and deception, we now expect our tow ride to be reimbursed in addition to the ******* failed CVT being replaced under the extended warranty.
