I had our driveway sealed by Century Asphalt Maintenance phone # ###-###-####. I recently had a new concrete apron done on my driveway. I asked them if I had to cover it to make sure no damage was done to the new apron while they were sealing the driveway. I asked this request by phone and twice when they came to start sealing and while they were sealing and the employee said, "no". That his guys were very careful. The next day after it was dried I went to the concrete apron and now there are over 30 Holes in my new apron. I called and left a message and did not receive response. I want a new apron replaced. I even have the receipt stating to avoid the apron that is uploaded here. Very disappointed and frustrated and the cost to have this done was $1200.

      Hi ****
I was personally on the job site at *** ***** *** . Before we started the driveway we went to the front door **** had here car in the driveway we needed her to move it while she was out side moving her car  We talked about the apron being new and let her know we had notes on are job sheet also she had garbage cans out at the apron on the lawn we asked if she mind if we move them that way we can go on the lawn to the driveway so the apron wasn’t a concern she agreed . **** does not have a garage so we prepared the driveway from the side walk to the back yard from there we hand applied the sealer left a cone and completed the invoice. Few days after she called and stated we put holes in her concrete apron. We explained the same thing as we sent to you in this email .She was there for the entire service and we didn’t create any damage to her apron . I was I told I had two options replace her apron or she was suing here we are

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  I Explained to them twice about the new apron to be careful with it, and even told them before they started if they wanted me to cover the apron and he said that it wasn't necessary. What occurred was that they had used a blower for the debris to clean out the area.  In doing so, there were rocks that blew out towards the street by the apron. When they did this, the cars passing by blew the rock stones hard back onto the apron. They should have swept that out of the way. I know this because not only did they use a blower for the debris, I walked towards both neighbors sides and they did not have stones on their street sides. I did not go by the apron or cone as to not disturb the drying process needed for 2 days. These stones and rocks were not there. Their blowing the debris left the stones on the street in front of the apron, causing the car traffic to blow it hard onto the apron. That was their doing and they should have cleaned and swept up that mess. The invoice written by them from the office clearly states that the apron was new and to be watchful of it. The apron did not have these rock holes prior to the sealing. I did not inspect the apron until after the drying process. My vehicle was moved to my front grass area to the left in front of my bushes by the sidewalk. How is it that in the months the apron was already done I never had the slightest defect in the apron until after it was sealed? There are over 30 stone holes? How did these stones get there that were never there before the sealing? It was due to there blower. I had to sweep the stones several times and place them in my garbage can. They should have swept up the stones that blew towards the front of the apron.   Regards, **** ****
