On 8/17/22 I picked up my 2010 ***** **** vehicle (4/18-8/17/22) @ Airport Transmission after replacing Transmission that took 4 months to get me vehicle back there is excessive damage done to the exterior & interior of my vehicle on Airport Transmission property. I have requested Airport Transmission Insurance Company name to file a claim and it has not been provided. Airport Transmission had the vehicle towed several times to rebuild transmission, to dealership, during the 4 month repair. It appears the vehicle was driven under a lift and dent the top passenger side, dented the bumpers, damage the doors from someone trying to break into the vehicle. My vehicle was not returned in the same exterior condition the vehicle was given to Airport Transmission. There is $6482.22 in damages with estimates from the collision shop received. Chuck at Airport Transmission took pictures of the damages but has not provided the owners contact information or insurance information. I brought my car in on a full tank of gas, I received back on empty. The interior had a tampon on passenger floor and video should be pulled to verify who used for personally use, there was glue glitter in 3rd row seats as if kids were in the vehicle, the vehicle needs to have seats professionally cleaned to remove glue glitter from leather seating. Inaddition my EZ pass was used on 6/30 & 7/13. Thank you for your help. Respectfully Submitted, ***** ********

Chuck at Airport Transmission explained the the transmission itself is good. The problem is electrical, with the gauge cluster. The gauge cluster has been sent out for repair and should be repaired soon. The problem was intermittent, which was why it was difficult to isolate the problem. Several other electrical parts were thought to be the problem, but since the gauge cluster was communicating with the computer incorrectly, the signal sent to the transmission was faulty.

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  With further explanation from Chuck and Pete concerning the electrical components to my repair I now understand why it took so long to be repaired. I am very happy and satisfied with the work they did and the price they charged. I highly recommend them in the future. Regards, ***** ********

November 16, 2021 Car was taken in by appointment for a repair for a Trans Axle repair for a 2009 ***** ******* with a CVT transmission. After being told a diagnostic and test drive and transmission fluid was performed I was told by "pete" that is was the transmission. I was told it would be roughly $3500.00 to replace and a $1500.00 deposit would be needed before the parts were ordered, which i agreed to. Paid $1500 per ******* **********. November 23, 2021 "Pete" called to say the parts were in but the part was not the correct part needed. stating my transmission was a CVT and not a regular transmission. I questioned him as to why that would not show if a diagnosis was performed before the part was ordered he answered "yes". He then went on to quote an extra $300.00 would be needed. I did not agree with the amount and we went back and forth about the price and how a incorrect part could get ordered if a diagnostic test was performed. On November 23rd I asked that someone from the shop come pick me up to retrieve my car due to being told the car was drivable and at that point I was not satisfied with what had been presented to me. November 24, 2021 the car was returned to me by two other technicians from Airport Transmission. From this date I have not hd any desire to take the car back for repair as I feel I will not get the repair necessary.

Business relayed to BBB:She brought in the car for a diagnosis.  He transmission either needed to be replaced or rebuilt.  Her car is a 5 speed automatic.  It is a rare CVT transmission.  It cannot be rebuilt.  We ordered a used replacement.  It has been sitting here for 3 to 4 weeks.  We have called her at least 15 times and left messages.  She is not responding.

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I do not have any confidence in this business working on the vehicle.  To resolve this matter I would like the funds refunding to the credit card used so that the car can be repaired elsewhere.  Again being told one price and given another with no proof of diagnostic make this situation uncomfortable for me.Looking at the receipt, the fees for labor and parts does not compute.  $1,430.00 for labor and for the parts (transmission $128.25. ) Therefore red flags were raised once seeing that.  I would like to resolve this by the actions above...credit to the credit card company with no outstanding balance and all business concluded.Calculations:         Receipt:$3500.00               $1430.00 labor- $1500.00             +128.25 Parts (transmission)= $1500.00            +124.66                             = $1682.91                                Regards, ****** ****

I took my car to Airport March 7 2021, they had my car for 30 days to replace my transmission. Got my car back April 8 2021. When I recieved my car it had been in an accident & fixed without my permission or knowledge. They claim only a rear light had been damaged and denied the extent of the damage. Color match off the paint is off colored and theres still some damage is needing to be addressed. I have a claim which their insurance co denied. So Im hoping to get compensated to do the job correct. Im not happy with the fix.

Mr ***** did have his car here. The original complaint was for a transmission issue. It was here for the transmission slipping. The vehicle was fixed with another transmission. He is correct on the time the car was there. It took some time and he was aware the parts for this car were a little difficult to find. We also notified to him that he needed new u-joints in his driveshaft. He refused because he did not have the funds. We did have an accident and he was aware of this. The car came in with the trunk lid crooked and would not shut properly, which he mentioned to us. The accident was at the left rear of his car.  It was our responsibility to fix it so we took the vehicle to a collision shop and they made the repairs including the trunk that did not work. We could not match the rear  lights. They were not original. we asked him if he could find the ones he liked we would pay for them. Mr ***** was happy when he picked up being aware of the accident. Unaware to me he took it to another collision shop which is good, for a second opinion. At this point they mentioned they found more damage. I involved my insurance company so Mr ***** could make a claim. Apparently they denied his claim. They believed he was acting fraudulent. He tried getting his money back for the transmission and tried getting the driveshaft fixed with the claim. Also you notice on the receipt it is showing parts for the car that are not part of the accident. Mr ***** also complained and the dmv is doing an investigation about the work with the transmission. Mr ***** is trying to get paid fraudulently. He never came to me and mentioned any of these concerns. As far as I know he was ok with the car when it left. The cars original complaint was fixed. It was our fault the car had an accident and we did everything we could to make it right.
