My niece and I hired this company to install a 12' x 16' deck at my moms house in Rome NY. In June of 2023 Josh received $7000 from my niece. He stated to us that he would be able to get the deck done by the end of Sept 2023. He also stated he would pull any permits required. He came out a couple of days in Oct then never came back until Dec. in Dec all he did was drop off some deck boards. I April of 2024 after trying to reach him with no response I looked on the city of Rome NY building codes and saw where a permit is required for the deck so I called to see if I could work off the permit he pulled. I was told no permit was ever pulled. So I had the building inspector come and tell me if I could use what he had done. Then submitted my own drawings and pulled a permit as required to build the deck and went up to NY from Florida to finish the deck. I tried contacting him to discuss returning some of the money we gave him for material. at one point he said he would drop it off but never showed up. We had to spend approximately $3200 to buy materials to finish the deck.Initial Complaint

I hired them and sent 300 they told me they were going to cover some window that day and then never answered back so I went there and no work was done I thought I'd get my 300 backBusiness response

Response taken by phone: I had every intention of returning the $300 but he is hard to get a hold of. I finally got a hold of him and found out when he would be at the property and gave him his refund.
