PLEASE read these and all reviews on this company BEFORE calling them and then do not call them for appliance repairs. The oven only on our electric range stopped working - burners, digital displays and broiler element still worked. Assuming it would be an easy fix, we began searching for a local repair service. Called a number and only got voice mail. Didn't leave a message. Some time later, received a call from a person at that number asking how he could help. So, had him come to the house to evaluate the issue. He identified the issue as a bad wire and showed a dead house fly as the likely cause of it being burned off. Said he would need to attach a new power cord at price of $58 plus labor and $100 for the service call (later discovered the same cord cost $25 at a local appliance store). Total cost was $280 and he demanded payment in check or cash before leaving. Said if we paid in cash, he wouldn't charge us tax. When I initially said I didn't think we had that much cash at home, he said "lets go to the bank". I should have realize then to just give him the $100 and cut my loss but we really needed the oven fixed. We came up with the cash and he left. Returned a few days later, changed the power cord and another small box but it didn't fix anything and now the broiler didn't work. After more checking, he said the oven element was bad - additional cost $76 for element (we later found same part online for $27 from the manufacturer) and $60 for labor - another $136 cash up front was paid. A few days later, with an appointment window of 9 am to 1 pm, he showed up at 1:20 pm, installed the new element and voila - absolutely no change! Said the outlet was bad. Since I now couldn't wait until he was out of my hair, he left with no invitation from me to return. Later, I checked the outlet and it was fine. It wasn't until then that I started reading his former customers' reviews. I ordered a new stove today. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE ($416).

Hi ****, Sorry you had such a bad experience doing business with our company. First, you called our company and left a message that we returned the same day. We scheduled an appointment because your stove was not working other than the digital display. The first time, I was at your home I found your terminal block melted on the back of your machine and not a power chord. We both agreed that it needed to be replaced and you paid for parts, labor, and the service call. We issued a receipt and you signed with approval to do the work. Both your wife and you agreed that it was damaged and melted. After I replaced the part it did not fix the problem, but upon further testing I found your bake element was also defective. Again, you agreed with the repair and a new element was installed in your machine. Again, this did not fix the problem and I asked if I could test your outlet with my multi-meter. During the test, I found that there was a short in your circuit and suggested that you should contact a license electrician to correct the problem. ****, previously you had told me that your control board in this machine was replaced, which was probably caused by a short circuit that can at times be created by bug infestations, which I told you that you had. Further, I did not or would not ask you to go to your bank. You told me, that you would run to the bank to get cash, but it was after 5PM and they were closed. That is not only awkward, but unacceptable with our company policies. When I was at your home, I also felt uncomfortable with the way you treated your wife by yelling at her. You also called my office staff several times yelling/cussing at them. Not cool! Please do me a favor and lose my contact information because we would never return to assist you in the future. I've read the response from Todd at A Plus Services in Westmoreland. His comments do not resolve anything. My comments are an accurate account of the entire encounter. Not so with nearly everything in his response. After reviewing comments from other reviews of his business, this is exactly what I would expect from this person. I did not expect honesty from him and certainly did not get it here. As far as his contact information, I still have it - obviously I would never choose to contact him for anything again. However, I have many acquaintances in this area who want to know exactly who I am talking about when I tell them of my experience with this incompetent business.

Update - Morehouse Appliance delivered and installed new range at scheduled time. Everything (including outlet) works fine. And, I found out that if I had called Morehouse initially and they were unable to fix the old one, all charges involved would have been deducted from the price of the new one. Live and learn. Guess who I'm calling next time?
