The business informed me for a consultation fee of $200.00 they would come to my house, evaluate my landscaping and then provide an estimate. I paid the money and never received the estimate. When I emailed a request for the estimate, I was told it would be delayed , so I waited two weeks and wrote again. this time I was told the owner had experienced a personal tragedy , and I might want to make other arrangements, so I asked for a refund. The owner replied that I was not the kind of person she wanted to do business with and would not give a refund and would nor provide an estimate. The estimate was part of the original agreement, and I have the emails to support this. Right now I paid $200.00 only to be insulted and have nothing to show for it.Business response

I will also forward you the consultation explanation on our on our website for your records. This woman got her consultation thats what she paid the $200 for. The estimate is not part of that, it is not guaranteed I always tell people of consultation that if we feel we make a connection and they like my ideas I will come back with an estimate. Again there is never a guarantee that shes going to get an estimate.******** ***** *Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because the business owner is not telling the truth. Please see email below from July 7:Dear ****,
Im touching base because there is definitely going to be a delay in getting you your estimate that you asked for from our consultation. I have been overwhelmed with work a higher percentage of consultations have turned into projects. Were making our way through it and were finally fully staffed but it does take my attention when installs are happening. So Im just letting you know that its going to be a few weeks before I get you your estimate

******** *****I am saddened that ************** finds it necessary to lie. When i initially inquired about the consultation on the phone, I was told that there would be a consultation and an estimate. In no way would I have moved forward without an estimate since the consultation itself was useless unless i had some idea how much the project. I am happy to forward the rest of the correspondence in which ************** said family problems would mean an indefinite delay for the estimate. When I asked for a refund, she refused.At that point, I would have been satisfied with a partial refund, but she refused. I then indicated that I would wait for the delayed estimate, and she sent another email saying she no longer wishes to work with me. That was erratic and insulting and not a good way to do business in a small community. However, now she is simply not being honest. The estimate was always part of the agreement.
