On the evening of 12/11/2021, I went to the Ravagh Persian Grill, after dinner the server never came to drop off the check. My husband and I were dining in the tent outside because the inside was too busy. I went inside to pay after waiting for over 30 minutes for the server to come back. When paying my **** there was a 20% Service charge added, I thought this was an automatic tip so I said nothing, paid, and left. My husband realized that charge was incorrect as their menu states they only charge a service charge if you have a group of 6 or more. I called the restaurant for a refund. A male staff member answered, they first told me the charge was for dining outside, but I told him the host never mentioned that then he said okay well how much are you tipping, I said I'm not tipping the service was horrible, our waiter never came to bring refills on drinks, never brought the check and was rude when I placed the order because I asked for his suggestion as I had never been there before. Then he told me if I go out to eat, I have to tip, I told him tipping is not a requirement and I didn't want to tip, he kept pushing me so I told him to keep a few dollars and return the rest, he told me no, I am required to tip 18-20%, I refused and he argued with me telling me this is a restaurant, not ********** and I have to tip for service. I again refused and requested my full refund. He told me this would be a one-time thing and they would not do it again, I told him I would never come back to the restaurant so he doesn't have to worry.
