Attended a Moto GP Event in ****** ***** where I rented a car from FOX CAR RENTAL for the weekend (Rental agreement - AUS-******) The car was returned in the same condition it was received at the end of the event. Days later I was told I was being charged with a $250 detailing fee for animal fur found on the floor board of the car. Picture is being uploaded. I made every attempt to explain that this has to be a mistake as I didn't travel with animals nor were any animals in the car during my rental period. I was just told that I was being put on collections. RENTERS BEWARE - take pictures of everything inside and out. My only mistake was not taking before/after pictures of the interior. I refuse to be scammed out of $250 and will deal with collections now. Never do business with this company as they will scam you and no one will listen to anything you have to say.Initial Complaint

Last night, my husband and I booked a vacation to ***************, **, booking a rental car for April ****, 2023 through Fox Rent a Car. This morning, I found out that I have to have surgery and we have to cancel our vacation. Less than 12 hours later after booking, I contacted *** (via Expedia) and asked for either a refund or a credit to be used on a future rental. They denied any and all options, stating that my only option was to cancel the reservation without a refund, so that someone else can rent the car. So, they would keep my money and they would make the same amount on top of it. I was working with Expedia (who we booked the car through) and they refused to offer any options.Initial Complaint

Reason of complaint: over charging on rental car.I rent a car from Drivo(fox rental) on 03/23/2022 for a week. But during return of car on 03/30/2022, on outside rental car facility I told my husband to park rental car inside the rental car facility, so that I can sit inside my private car as there was no parking space available at that time. But because of that (as my husband just parked car inside the facility) they charge me additional driver cost ($5 for each day-total of $35 for a week). I told them I am the person who parked the car is my legal spouse and he just parked car from facility gate to your parking spot. But even after that they charge me for full week. I am attaching the copy of contract and billing receipt.I am looking for my additional driver money back from themCustomer response

I rented a car from Fox Rent A Car (*** location) on Friday Jan 28th at 10:00 am. I had booked an SUV with the understanding that it was a car that I would be able to drive to the Catskills for the weekend. The car provider provided me with a Hyndai Tucson (an SUV). On our way to our Airbnb in ******************************, we got stuck on the road (a regular road) because of the snow on the grounds. We were not driving on any off-road or dangerous area, we were simply driving on the road, following ****** maps directions when the car simply stopped moving because the tires were so thin that they could not take the snow on the ground. We were lost in an area without anyone around, with no cell service, at -11F degrees, with no food or water. We were found by our Airbnb hosts only a few hours later and by sheer luck. They took us to the house, where we managed to recover from our ***********, and the next day they were able to move the car after hours of shoveling snow with a tractor and pushing the car to move. This took several hours and we were unable to go skiing (the whole purpose of the trip). On Jan 30th, after we finally made it back to **, we contacted Fox to let them know they had provided us with a death vehicle and asking for a reimbursement of the rental fees, since we felt like we had been cheated by being given an SUV that was not adequate to drive anywhere in *** (including ***) given the weather conditions. The person we talked to told us the manager would be in touch the next day. After calling again on Jan 31st, I managed to talk to the manager, who communicated to me that they never advertise whether their cars can be driven under winter conditions or not (again, in ***), and therefore would not be taking any responsibility for our misfortunes.Customer response
