We entrusted our two dogs, ***** and *****, to Ms. R********'s care for the period of 2/15/24-2/24/24.***** became ill on the evening of 2/22/24, after 7 days of being in her care. We spoke to our vet who told us ***** would be fine to be around other dogs as long as you were picking up his feces and that quarantine was not warranted. We also made arrangements for medicine to be dropped off to you to administer to *****. Ms.R did not give ***** this medication. Withholding medication from an animal is abuse. Multiple times it was explained that there was NO ONE available to pick up *****.My parents were the only authorized people,they were also out of town too.Ms.R took it upon herself released our dogs to individuals who we did not authorize. She also NEVER contacted us to tell us.We had no idea where our dogs were for 27 hours. When the dogs were picked up,they were covered in feces, urine, and vomit. Ms.R had raised our fee from November, stating “they needed extra care.”This does NOT show extra care,this is animal abuse. It also was discovered that ***** had an identical injury on his forehead to the one he had when we picked him up from Ms.R's care 11/24/23 and sought medical attention for 11/28/23.We took him to our vet for this identical injury on 2/26/24, our vet determined that ***** was crated, without leave, and had bashing his head on the bars of his crate to try to get out.Animal abuse. This is more painful because ***** is a blind, epileptic dog.Ms.R's is positively cruel. Demand is made that she refund us in full for February, $1270and reimburse us for both vet visits her caused, $206. 40 and $151.50. Ms.R untruthful statements: "We didn't notice *****' injury. You noticed because you shaved his head." Ms.R lacks intelligence. The vet shaved his head. We were clearly able to see the wound BOTH times which is why we took him to the vet. "They dropped off a sick dog." ***** became ill after 7 days in Ms.R's care.We dropped off a healthy dog.
