This company took advantage of my mother **** (82 year old widow) by sending her dozens of coins she did not want, charging her credit card and making it impossible to return the coins. When she asked them to stop sending me coins they called her and said that they would buy them back. She sent them nearly $60,000 in coins back to them and they have not sent her any money, and will not return the coins. She want her money back or all of the coins. I am her son and personal representative. ********************* the owner has continued to call my mother **** trying to convince her to buy more coins numerous times this year. He has admitted that one of his employees initiated this buy-back of coins from my mother. I have all correspondence showing proof of coins that my mother sent.

           To whom it may concern,

I'm responding to a complaint on 6/20/23 from *********************, regarding various coins his Mother ***************** claims she sold to Park Avenue Rarities for the amount of $60,000.00. According to our records no representee at Park Avenue Rarities has ever spoke to ************* regarding any coin purchase, and Park Avenue Rarities has not received any coins mentioned in this complaint. Furthermore, ********************* is not the owner of Park Avenue Rarities and was not employed on or about the time of this transaction. It is our theory that ********************* disguised himself as the owner of Park Avenue Rarities to gain credibility in the hopes of getting ************* to mail him the coins without question. I would advise ************* to investigate the shipping information and receiving address to locate the person or company responsible for this missing purchase. I'm available for any assistance in this matter.

            Best Regards,

            ****

**** - we spoke with you last summer and you admitted that you were charging ***************** credit card without her consent. You agreed to reverse the charges to her ****************  - which we initiated then you (very sneakingly) stopped the reversal so you were able to keep all off the funds. And now you have charged her for another $6875 last week that she did not ask for or authorize. YOU ARE STEALING MONEY FROM AN ELDERLY PERSON.

Park Avenue Rarities is responding to the complaintant's original statement(s) to be found here:

      1. "They sent a prepaid envelop in which to return the coins"

      2. "I returned the coins" "and then I got a call June 15, 2022 to buy the $1900 coin"

      3. "I would just like to get my investment back."

      4. "Park Avenue Rarities ***************************** and ********************* with ****** Misauraca and ******* ******* were involved in these transactions."

This is the response(s) of Park Avenue Rarities, (PAR is the company name abbreviated), to each of these replies by number:

      1. 'PAR' has NEVER sent this customer a prepaid envelope. If 'PAR' had, then we would not have a missing coin situation because we would have total access to the tracking number of that pre-paid envelope.

      2. The coins were not returned to our company 'PAR', we did not call you to buy the "returned coins". (How can we buy coins that you returned already?) You have PAR and another company confused with one another. Who exactly called you to buy these coins? Where did you send them? Where is the tracking number of that RETURNED SHIPMENT? High value packages must be tracked for your own personal protection. Did you obtain a receipt when you dropped it off at the Postal carrier? A word of advice if I may; obtain a receipt from the postal service when you drop off high value parcel items.

      3. We at 'PAR' are trying to help you do that but not without a tracking number of the return shipment.

      4. 'PAR' has no affiliation with any of the above-mentioned people or companies.

PAR is a reputable company in business for 12 years, PAR is not in business to lie and cheat about packages not received from our thousands of customers. We strongly urge you Sir to check over all of your records and those phone numbers and agents to whom you spoke to, and re-visit the steps taken that led you to this point. We again stand behind our statements that, 'PAR' has never received any return coin shipment(s) from you. Please regard this as truthful, because it is. Again, you may call us at any time so that we may help you. Ask for the President of 'PAR'.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because

,Park 'Avenue rarities sold me the coins and promised to resell them at a profit.  If other people got involved it had to be through Park Avenue.  I admit I didn't keep track of the final exchange of the coins.  My wife is in a nursing home where I pay $233.00 a day for her care and I have over $10,000 damage to my house.  So I do have some other things on my mind.  Thanks for all the help you are providing me.  *******************

Park Avenue Rarirites contacted my father, who is elderly, over the phone in August 2021 and convinced him to buy gold promising that it was at an unbelievable discount. He gave his credit card number and the transaction was completed; once the item was delivered we returned it and were given a refund. Subsequently they called my father again and he said he didn't want anything but they sent gold costing $2,600, charging his credit card which they had kept on file from the last transaction (he did not give them his card number again or give them permission to charge the card he had used previously. We called to say we did not want the item, we hadn't ordered it, and we were sending it back. They insisted we ordered it and that we could not send it back. We returned the item, have the tracking from **** to show it was delivered, and they will not refund us. This company preys on the elderly, calls you repeatedly and pressures you and sends you items you don't want, and if they get your credit card they keep the number and charge your credit card without your permission. We have returned the item and changed our credit card number, we would just like this refunded and for them never to call our home again.

      Dear Relative of the Client,

We are truly very sorry that we are unable to help you at this time, as this case has already been processed and resolved by your credit card arbitration authority. Due to the fact that the client (your father), was unable to provide proof of the return at the time of arbitration, we were awarded with the chargeback and this matter has been resolved over six months ago.

We have not ever received the coin back. If the party was willing to be in communication with Park Avenue Rarities **** during the time of return and had provided us with the tracking number at the original point of return, the facilitation the process perhaps, could have been satisfactory for both parties. Once again, we are truly very sorry for your experience with Park Avenue Rarities **** and we still, do not have the coin.
