Since the beginning Terri said and it’s written in the estimate (he calls a contract) that i pay $10k in exchange for a “lock in” date. He breached that right away when he came to my house at 7:30 pm with collecting a check but not giving me a so-called lock in date. Instead he says he’s just wants to get home but get ahold of him in a week and a half. Really? Well i did. And he gave me excuses after excuses and I didn’t get my lock-in date until a month later. But he cashed that check 2 days later when he got it from us. He brings a crew of a foreman that made my walls crooked, cut my bottom door crooked (per picture) installed all my doors wrong. I literally had to correct everything that he did from the start of my project. Terri knew of his bad work and tried to cover up all his mistakes, thinking im not going to see them. I more than proved he was wrong. Even Terri’s work was nightmarish to see. He cut so many corners to my $22,000 job-even he said in the beginning that i would get back $1,500 if things went well. Well, things went horrible from the first nail they put in. They decided to put my bathroom door on opposite of what it is now. Made absolutely zero sense. This clown of a contractor had the audacity to try explaining why they did that. I made them change that. They didn’t want to insulate my shower walls with sound proof AFTER they said they would do that way back in the estimate stage of it. I caught him skimping on that and made him take the wall down and insulate it as he said he was going to do. If you hire this clown you will have to babysit him and his lousy foreman Rob. Terri waited to order my vanity so long that the vanity was discontinued. Tells me to pick another one, i did, but he didn’t want to put the marble countertop on the new one because it would be “too expensive”. Again him dropping the ball. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. Even if this complaint is followed by a phony : Have contacted customer, all is good. Nope. He still has faulty now

I will address this customers notes line by line. In regards to asking for a $10,000 for a “lock in date “that is completely untrue. As he was made well aware because I went over it multiple times with him we had a contract. We require a deposit which is what he is referring to and that is to pay for materials. We also explained that to him as well. After a very lengthy discussion detailing everything he was fine And initially at the onset, never even questioned it. It is standard with not only every single contract we do but with every reputable contractor. It is also untrue that we just showed up at 7:30 PM asking for a check. Also noticed that when I did show up, he was extremely aggressive at the onset. A phone call was made prior and I advised I was more than happy to come out and go over everything with them which is why I went to their house at a time that they designated. At that point, I gave him a date, but said that it was tentative by a few days because we had other projects that we were finishing that were already in progress. As also, anyone in construction knows multiple things can affect when a project gets completed, such as weather, product, delays, etc. all of which were explained to this customer. And it most certainly did not take a month for him to get his date. More like within a week after we receive the deposit. And again, because we were finishing projects and wanted to give him a specific date which he requested. I’d like to note that as my foreman was getting tools out of the trailer along with another crew member, he verbally attacked him for no reason at all. There were witnesses. It got to the point where my foreman walked away and called me immediately to let me know that he had to walk away. I then had to immediately go speak to The customer to advise him that in no way it is acceptable to treat any of my crew or myself for that matter in that manner. The customer was verbally abusive and threatened him multiple times as well as myself on multiple occasions, each time unprovoked. It would just come out of nowhere. The customer did note that he had had three prior contractors that didn’t work out. We’re going on the assumption it was because of behavior like this. He also know to me that he had PTSD, and sometimes had outbursts or flew off the handle for no reason. I myself experienced this multiple times. I had to talk to customer down multiple times. Typically I would cease work after this type of behavior, but seeing as how they only had one bathroom, I completed the job despite multiple verbal attacks and combative behavior. In addition, he received a discount of $2000 because he kept complaining of delays. We told him from the beginning that this job would take 3 to 4 weeks to complete. It took approximately four weeks and again we had product delays, etc. We also at our own expense rented a porta potty for him so that he would not be without a bathroom. In addition, I never tried to cover up any mistakes. Not only did we address them we corrected them, I offered to cut the door again but He said no don’t bother he would. I also offered to get a completely new door for him, but he declined that as well. In addition, the customer did get money back, and I never said I would give him $1500 back “if things went well “. I have no idea where that even came from. The only thing we offered was to stay within his budget and cut where we could because he was trying to use $60,000 to do a bathroom and kitchen and a front porch, but again after the bathroom experience, we declined to do any future work based on the behavior we experienced and the harassment. Oh we never said there would be a $1500 discount if things went well. That’s not how we do business. A contract has a contracted amount for that purpose. The only changes would be a change order if someone added work or took out work. Also, I have no idea what he’s talking about his bathroom door because we put it exactly where he wanted. Again, he has had multiple episodes while we were there, so I have no idea if he is forgetting what he said but given everything that was going on, we made sure that we did everything to his satisfaction. Not only did we insulate the bathroom walls as he requested, but we added a valve wall that wasn’t even in the original contract. Regarding his vanity, he admitted he made the mistake because he gave us the model number when we went to check it, which was when we received it they told us it was discontinued. They are the ones who picked this model, and it had been discontinued all along. What we did was we got him the exact same model, but in a different color which he approved. It being discontinued had absolutely nothing to do with when I ordered it. Also, I have no idea what he’s talking about in regards to the marble counter top because I purchased and installed the countertop that he and his wife picked out. The customer signed off on both the doors and the bathroom, so I have no idea why he is not only making a false complaint now, but adding in many things that never even happened. I would caution any future contractor that he tries to hire because it is a very hostile working environment provided by the customer. And again it all makes sense now when he mentioned he had three prior contractors walk off the job. We were supposed to do his kitchen and front porch, and due to our experience here would not even entertain the idea of doing that. I have 30 years experience and never in those three years have I experienced someone like this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  A refund.  All of which his defense was, was a lie. He needs to be put out there that his work at my house still has issues going on with them. He cobbed everything so bad that I AM actually doing the necessary repairs. I have notes i jotted down and more pictures of his shoddy work. We argued a lot during his time here because he was trying to cheap out on the job. He did still cheap out and im looking for payment. He either needs to give me a refund or i go to court and sue him.   Regards, ***** ******

If the work was so shoddy, then why did you sign off on The final contract verifying that all work was satisfactory and we also gave you a $2000 discount because you were complaining about the time it took to do the job even though it was within the time we gave you? I have all of our emails as well as witnesses to your acts of aggression. We have tried repeatedly to amicably settle this with you. I have not only witnesses from ****** for your door job, but also witnesses for the bathroom job that were there during your act of aggression. In addition, you refuse to let us come do the repairs through ****** so we now have referred you to them. I’ve spoken with management and they are fully aware of everything you have said, as well as your refusal to let us do their repairs after you repeatedly contacting them trying to get us to do them. We simply asked that you not be there during the repairs due to your aggression. We recommended your wife be there and we would be more than happy to come to the repairs. The only thing that you have contacted us which we have text messages to back this up after your bathroom was completed where the gaskets for the shower door.  We advised that they were installed per the instructions and correctly. We also advised we would come take a look if your wife was present and you were not. You Literally went through everything with a fine tooth comb prior to me coming to do the final sign off on the contract. Seems to me like you wouldn’t have paid had their still been issues. In fact, you said so yourself. I’ve been in business for 30 years, and have never experienced anything like this. And what refund are you looking for since you already received one?? We have offered repeatedly to come take a look for the doors, and the gasket which you refuse. Lawsuit? For what the fact that you won’t allow us to come do repairs for the door? That’s with ******. The bathroom again the gaskets were installed per the instructions. We offered to come take a look as long as your wife was there and you can’t allow that. Again I’ll remind you I have witnesses. I’ll note one last time I have been more than willing to try to deal with this amicably with you. You’re the one throwing out insults, name-calling, and threats.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  ok Terri. You keep responding to this message as if you aren’t coming over to attempt a fix that you and your wife and i are setting up for when you come back from your vacation. Your message was on 11/29/2023. We have set up something on 11/28/2023. This is funny that you are still saying all of this because we are chatting through the BBB site. If your work wasn’t shoddy, then why are you coming over in the very near future? Anyways i will say that there was always issues. You chose to walk out or just story time me as to what your justification is for screwing up at the time of doing each issue. Again why are you coming over then. As for you saying why did i agree to and sign off on-YOU know I didn’t want to and we argued again you final pay. You collected $10k over a month prior to starting my job. That was a red flag already. Since you knew i was new at this i feel you took advantage of my wife and i by telling us how good of a contractor you were and you will get ahold of us in a couple days to start scheduling us in. That was a lie. You kept me on hold without a start date for over a month-BUT you couldn’t wait to cash that check of $10k two days after receiving it-without a start date. Then you wanted $7k the day you finally came to start. Thats $17k total right off the rip. I shouldn’t be giving anyone more than 3/4 of the job when its the first day on the job. Red flag there too. Now you have us in just the right spot to manipulate us into keep going with you and not giving us a chance to see your work to decide if we want to keep you. You structured the payments just right to benefit you and not the customer. I could stand your work and the whole time I stood just far enough behind (but leaving you to do your work without me breathing on you) to correct every darn thing you and your so called foreman. So now you have just about all of the amount that you were going to get ($17K of $22K) and its only day one -where the **** does the customer feel valued? Especially when you have to come back here after your trip to make it right -still, or i take this matter further. Your final payment of $2k wasn’t given without an argument. We both have text messages to show that. Yes i gave you $2K and yes you told me that if there is any problems with anything at all to just call you. Well, not only did i text you with problems-you never responded-but i have had issues with your work before you even left for the day every day you were here, which wasn’t many days. Im not sure why you keep going with this or why the BBB page is letting us go back and forth but you are in talks with me about coming over here and this is kinda weird that im seeing a new message at 9:22am on 11/29/2023 when we have a meeting about to be set up after your trip. I will not be responding to this anymore and i look forward to our meeting at my house soon. This is your last attempt to make it right. I have tons more to say about the things you did wrong that im sick of typing what im doing back and forth with you. Perhaps a judge listening to us is a better way and not this BBB page. I filed my complaint and im sticking to my complaint even after you “attempt “ to make it right. And no, I did NOT read all you b.s. its a lie and im not done with you, but im done here. Have a safe trip home and see ya soon.   Regards,  ***** ******

In October 21', I contracted through Lowes to have windows installed. In January 22', the contractor they used was Celtic Construction. They installed my windows, and while they were here I contracted directly with them to have my shutters installed as well, since they were already doing the windows. They charged me $40 per window, and I had 10 sets of shutters installed. I paid them $400. They installed 8 out of the 10, and because 2 of them were damaged they agreed to come back once additional parts from Lowes came in. Since that time, my additional Lowes parts have come in, and in addition to me trying to get them to come and install the shutters, Lowes can't get them either to contact me to schedule the remainder of the installation. I have called a number of times and so has Lowes. At this point its apparent that they are trying to dodge finishing the job.
