I pre-paid on Apr 6 2022 for dental work to be done under sedation. I decided to cancel after reconsidering the extent of the treatment and because I had lost confidence in the office. In addition, I suffer from extreme dental anxiety. I called once about a week before the treatment to try to cancel and received, I feel, "the run-around." I felt I had to negotiate for more limited treatment but could not get out of the deal. I called again 24 + hours before the treatment and insisted on cancelling. The business manager agreed to a refund of about $7400, with $500 taken from the original fee of $7967 for the late cancellation. My cancelled appointment was for April 20th, with the phone call mentioned above on April 19th. The payment was made on April 6. As of today, May 3rd, I have not received the refund. I've only been told "its is in the approval process with our refunds department." I've asked for an email or number of that department but it has not been forthcoming. No time-frame has been forthcoming. The amount is very high and is accruing interest. I cannot afford to pay for much-needed treatment until the refund comes. The stress has been extreme. I regret pre-paying -- which was not required beyond $500 -- but because of my PTSD and extreme dental anxiety I was not in a state to make good choices for myself. I can detail the specifics of why I lost confidence in this dental office if needed.
