  In March 2019 Norm M  took 300.00 for a window that he has not yet produced. A cracked window sill needed to be replaced and despite numerous contacts and promises to have the work done always an excuse. In June 2022 a contract was executed with him to have new bathroom floor, vanity installed new molding around the baseboards. The floor was put down and vanity installed. He was suppose to complete work by July 23rd. He requested additional money to meet payroll. He refuses to respond to requests to when he would complete work. He also removed cellar door without permission, shaved it but failed to put it back correctly and the door top hinge initially came off, he was notified of this as well. The door has now completely off and has to be physically moved to get to the cellar. The molding on bathroom window not completed because the new window not put in. He repeatedly stated that he would make it a priority but failed to come. Requested he return the money for window, installation, window sill. Now want the money for the current unfinished work and the cost to have it complete

  customer is satisfied and no further action required

  I have done multiple repair projects for this customer and throughout a period of 2 years but at her age and her dimetia she has turned into nasty person

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
  
   Hi inhae read Mr. M*******’s response and I don’t agree with his whole response. He did refund the money for the window however I have paid him 1500.00 for 1385 worth of work. He did supply the molding or install it as stated in the contract. Additionally, he did not replace a window sill which he made and installed and agreed to replace it. He also didn’t finish the molding around thewindow which he never obtained so it remains unfinished and in pieces. Additionally, his prior employer provided him with a new chain for front door that he never installed or provided. I don’t suffer from dementia. Mr. M******* only refunded money when he was going to be arrested if he didn’t which I understand has previously happened. When I confronted him that his website was not accurate in that he wasn’t accredited with the BBB he said he was despite my verbal confirmation from the BB B. He fails to complete jobs and moves on to next job r

  saying that he is not going to push other jobs behind to return here yet he will put the incomplete d jobs behind. He repeatedly told me he had 30,000 and 40,00 dollar contracts however he requested additional money prior to work so he could meet payroll. He also stated he was often looking for workers and that he was doing everything himself. He is a very personable man but not honest.   Paid 1500 for 0nly 1385 work completed

  leaving a balance due on contract of 85.00 owed to me when project complete

  I refunded a total of 300. for a deposit on a window plus an additional 65.00 to close out contract 

  making a total of the 85.00 Mrs. ****** owes me and a refund of 65.00 adding up to 150.00 

  1500.00 contract minus 150.00 to close out the contract gives Mrs ****** her project for  1350.00

  so my gift to you is keep the 15.00 to buy your storm door chain

  FYI I was never going to be arrested 

  Any officer or judge would laugh at you for the craziness you put me and my company through

  On February 24th 2021, I had Norm W***** come to my house to give me a price on replacing 4 windows and wrap 2 windows. He gave me a price of $1200 that was needed to order the new windows. I gave him a check that night for the $1200 to purchase new windows he cashed that check the following morning at my bank. I had to keep reaching out to him to see if the windows were ordered and if he had a date as to when they would be installed. He told me the windows were delivered to him in March. Every time I would be given an excuse and said he would get back to me in a couple days, as to when he would install them and 5 months later still no windows installed. I don't believe he ever ordered the windows and I was scammed out of $1200. I did ask him for my refund because I didn't feel he ordered them .He said he would send my refund of $1200 back to me in mid-May I still haven't gotten my refund . I did file a complaint with Attorney office . I do have the copy of the cancelled check that he cashed and an invoice. I am just getting over cancer and wanted to get everything in my house fixed in case of my cancer returning and now I was scammed out of $ 1200.

  This customer did have me order special size windows for her house And was told that the windows could take 8 to 10 weeks for manufacturing When the windows arrived at my shop in AprilI let this customer know that I would be putting her on the schedule and that we were out several weeks at that time . This customer decided she wanted to cancel and wanted her money backI explained to her that these were special made to fit her window openings and that I didn’t want to get stuck with them But after some time I decided that I would just give her back her money and try to resale her windows at a reduced price to recoup some of my loss I mailed her money orders this past Saturday and sent her a picture of the money orders and the addressed envelope There was no scam involved as I have the receipt that the windows were ordered with days of her giving me a deposit and the delivery slip in March when they arrived at my shop

  Received email from consumer stating:

  This has not been resolved the Colonie police are following this complaint. Norm warner has been arrested in the past for scamming people. As to date he has refunded me $600 so far . He never showed any receipts of the windows ever being purchased.

  Norm Mitchell failed to complete project I paid him for. I signed a contract with Morn Mitchell with NM Custom Construction to remodel one bathroom, remove deck and build porch with a paver and construct a new bathroom in the basement. Also remove chimney. The contract was for a 3 week project and possible going into last week before Christmas. The only project Norm completed was the chimney. The downstairs bathroom shower he installed is leaking and vent is not vented out. The bathroom is incomplete. The upstairs bathroom vent was not properly vented out. He installed fixtures that did not fit. For the porch, he installed plywood that's not pressure treated the post sizes were irregular. he did not do the paving. I gave Norm 3 separate checks but he did not showed up for most days. It was about him ? doing other jobs or sick or some other projects. For he last 4 weeks Norm have not shown up. He claim he used all my money, He also brought a man in my house who stole my children video game system. Norm did not provide police with info for them to arrest the guy.
