    4/1/22 company came to evaluate our sewer line, snaked & videoed to 31’. Company informed us we had a tree root through our pipe & roots bulging pipe inward & referred us to another company to replace pipe. Hired company on 5/16/22 to replace broken pipe, after excavating & locating pipe there is no broken pipe or tree roots even near pipe, hole refilled. 5/16/22 contacted Allstar plumbing and spoke to owners wife, informed me if they made a mistake that would compensate us & sent 2 technicians out. Techs video the line again, admit they made a mistake, inform us the line needs to be jetted, and someone would call us as to what they come up with for the misdiagnosis. 5/17/22 had a different company jet out the line, 5/18/22 had same company video the line in which line is running good, minimal buildup. Meanwhile been in contact with Allstar due to their misdiagnosis and being compensated for their misdiagnosis. Allstar service manager said he needed to video the line again to go to owners for compensating us. All along since misdiagnosis found Allstar admitted their misdiagnosis & said to compensate us. 5/27/22 service manager & 2 techs show up to video line in which service manager said they will not be compensating us nothing. Over $3000.00 spent due to their misdiagnosis and trying to put out yard back to what it was beforehand.

    Beware of this businesses new practices!! We called AllStar plumbing to request an estimate to change one (1) out door water spiket. When asked, they refused to provide any type of rough estimate over the phone. They have a mandatory $99 service fee to come out. Within 1 minute of being here the plumber provided a price of $560 plus the $99 service fee. Nearly $700 to perform a job that takes less than an hour and less than $30 in parts! I respect their profession however, I think that when a customer calls and asks for a rough estimate on a non-complicated, straightforward job such as replacing a water spiket and the company states we must charge you $99 to come out and give you a quote that is astronomical, it is inherently unfair to the customer. I understand service calls and the need for them but when you use them to push people into unfair pricing that's not professional and not ethical. I spoke with the manager who was surprisingly very rude and not willing to resolve the situation and not willing to understand the customers perceptive. He stated the receptionist doesn't handle pricing and doesn't know the prices. I asked what their hourly rate is and he stated it's all priced as "flat rate". (Then why not have a manager contact the customer back who is asking for a rough estimate? There was no evaluation needed on this job request). He was also extremely upset that I said I would leave a negative review. I think there will be many more negative reviews to come. ***Also important to know…. We used them prior and they didn't have this policy in place and the owner actually provided a price over the phone as it was another straightforward job request!**** Unfortunately, I can't recommend a company that drives around quotes unfair prices and uses the mandatory fee as leverage to help get their ridiculous pricing.

    Hi *****, I am so sorry that you had this experience. We strive to deliver the very best experience to our customers every day on every call. As I'm sure our office explained to you, we simply do not give pricing over the phone any longer because too often, something can be missed that is vital to the job that the customer may not even know about until we get eyes on the situation. Furthermore, we offer a comprehensive home safety inspection with each service call to not only verify exactly what options you have for the desired repair, what can be done to ensure this repair will be long lasting and also to address anything that may pop up in the future unexpectedly. We've had great success with our process and have found that we can be much more accurate than we could be shooting random prices out over the phone. The repair in question is a routine repair that we perform hundreds of times each season, with little to no push back on pricing. I'm not saying that you are wrong for feeling the way you do, it's just that I'm not willing to change our policy for the very small percentage of people who have a problem with it. I'm sorry that we are not a good fit for you, however, we would be thrilled for the opportunity to change your mind. In the event that you would like to move forward with the repair, we would be happy to circle back to you and get that done. I promise you will be happy with our service and knowing you won't have to worry about that outside faucet for years to come.
