We used "Green Is The Color" in *************, ** to help improve our lawn. Not only did they not improve our lawn, they destroyed it. So much so, it is unrecognizable. The owner was dismissive of my claims, literally said "it's just a lawn," put the blame solely on me for not calling them, said there was watering instructions on the invoices -there were none, took no responsibility, never apologized, accused me of lying about the condition of our lawn before and after their treatments, made up things I did not say, constantly interrupted me when I was trying to speak, was very disrespectful & when I became absolutely LIVID of his treatment of me, he hung up on me. We want a total refund for ALL the payment we submitted to this joke of a company.

We requested an estimate for a lawn treatment for our daughters house. A technician came to house in the spring of 2021, met with my husband. The estimate was over $700 so we did not have the service. A year later, spring of 2022, the company applied treatment without any approval. Per the company, invoices were left. My daughter does not recall getting them. When they called about the bill, we stated we did not sign any contract only asked for estimate. I requested a copy of signed contract. I never received one.The company has put us into collections. Their argument is that we should pay because they did service. We did not request or approve service. We purchased and applied our own treatment.

The customer had received (2) lawn applications, had never called us to cancel services.

When our office called for payment for (2) lawn applications that we had done we were told that this is their Daughters house and maybe their Daughters boyfriend had signed up for these services.

We provided the customer with two lawn applications and if they didn't want them a call to cancel should have been made.  There was no further response from the customer as to payment.  Our statements and calls went unanswered until the customer received a collection notice, then they called our office to discuss this matter....

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Their response is missing the facts. No one requested or signed up for service. We only requested an estimate. At the time of estimate we said no, cost was too high. A company cannot assume, a year later, service is wanted. This sounds like a fraudulent scheme.  A call was made to the company before it went to collections. I requested a copy of contract. I never received it.

We understand the verbal communication regarding acceptance of our estimate when we met with the customer can not be proven.  We have closed this account, no balance is due.    Tell us why here...
