    I’d give negative stars if possible. My central air unit stopped working so I called these guys to come out and look at it as they‘re local. The guy who came out barely looked and it and told me it was done for because it was so old and obviously had just stopped working because of how old it was. He quoted me for over $5,000 to install a whole new unit. I paid the ”service call fee” and called someone else to come out and look at it. Turns out it wasn’t ”done for because of how old it is” the guy who came out (from herendeens) just didn’t feel the need to take it apart and actually see what was going on so $150 to the other guy and my central air unit is working as good as new. I’d recommend going elsewhere!! There are so many others out there that will actually take the time to see what’s going on rather than trying to get you to pay $5,000+ for a new unit when yours works just fine with a little tune up!! ?? When I told others about this, their reaction has all been the same “why would you call herendeens in the first place, I’d never go to them!!” Along with a story of them screwing them over as well. Glad I wasn’t the only one but come on, this is a business! Do better Herendeens!

    I would appreciate it in the future if people actually called and voiced complaints. NEVER received a call from this person. I worked on this so I remember the call. We were called out for no cooling. I came out. The compressor was running, the outdoor fan was not. I pulled the capacitor and tested it with a meter, it was weak (on the fan side), which can sometimes cause the fan to start sometimes and other times not. I installed a new capacitor (of which I did not charge for) turned the unit on and had same problem. I took my meter out again and checked for voltage on wires going directly into the fan. I had proper voltage and the compressor was running. I then asked the customer how far they wanted me to go, being that it could be a fan, it could be wiring that that needed to be traced, etc. I gave a rough estimate of 600-800 if it was a fan. I then recommended a new unit, as this was manufactured in 1990. She told me to hold off on repair and she would look into it and get back to us. Never heard from her. If we would have heard from her and she told us to just fix it, we would have come back and found what was wrong and if it was minor would have adjusted the bill. She was very nice the whole time and I never had a problem. Before you go accusing us of things get some facts straight. We have been in business for almost 75 years, I have over 20 years of experience, the owner has almost 50 years of experience, collectively (between us and 2 other techs) we have almost 100 years of experience. Do we occasionally miss things? Yes. When we do, it is made right. We come across work every day from various other contractors and all I can say is you get what you pay for. The simple fact is you NEVER responded to us and voiced a complaint or decided what to do. Had you, things would have been resolved. Instead, you went about things this way. What do you want? You have to communicate with people to get what you want, not trash them online. Just as unhappy as you are because you believe that we did nothing (which is not true) I am unhappy that you never called us and felt the need to trash us to the BBB. Thanks for the backstab. It's easier to hide behind keyboards and screens than have to actually talk to people.
