      I purchased a 12x10 shed with a run in. The run in was also ordered with a floor, on day of delivery the run in was missing the floor I called the company and was informed that there was a miscommunication behind the company and builder. After numerous phones the builder and repair guy came to the house on nov 8th to install the floor after approximately 1 hr they completed the work when I returned home Tuesday afternoon and looked at the work, I noticed that they rushed through and failed to remove the rough cut plank board walls and place the floor down and then reinstall the wall, instead they just place the floor down and now have gaps between the wall and floor, the floor is also cut 1/4 inch short around the edges and the run in is 4 inches shorter the the shed floor. I sent Catskill shed pics and contacted the bank. On nov 12 2021 the bank notified me that Catskill shed is refusing to come back out and fix/resolve the issue the correct way but instead told the bank that they were not going to doing any more repairs and that if I didn’t want to pay for it that they would come pick the building back up. I unfortunately do not have house available for the animals that are currently being housed in the building.

      I attached the order form for the building. In the drawing you will see a area that is designated as a Run In. A Run in is described as a shelter with no floor for Animals to Run in to. The reason a run in has no floor is because the urine and manure will go into the ground rather than rot out the floor. The reason that we went out and installed the floor after the fact was an attempt to make the customer happy. However in retrospect we should not have done that as the Rent to Own company clearly states in the contract he signed that large animals are not allowed on the floor of a rental building only in a Run in. I spoke to the bank and they are wiling to over look this detail on this one however we will not be doing any other changes to the building.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  

      First off we never dealt with Ethan through any of the buying process. We dealt with Hannah, I showed her a picture of the shed we were looking at purchasing and explained to her numerous times what we planned on doing with the building. The day we went to put a deposit down the price changed as she forgot to have the additional cost for a wall. On delivery day when I spoke with Hannah and told her there was no floor in the run in she was in shock also, as she told me there was a miscommunication between them and the builder. Also after reviewing the rent to own contract, there is no part of the contract that doesn’t state no large animals on floor as per what Ethan has stated, all I found was the building is for storage purposes in which I’m storing my goat and chickens in. It also states not for or intended for human habitation, last I checked farm animals are ANIMALS AND NOT HUMANS. So I’m asking again that they please come out and do the floor the correct way by taking the wall off, putting down a correct fitting floor and then reinstall the walls, if not I will take further action.

      I read through the contract and the customer is correct the bank did take out the clause for animals on a floor so that is a none issue with them. I understand that he is frustrated with the floor, however the floor that was installed after delivery was installed for free. At this point we have delivered everything in the contract plus a free floor due to any perceived miscommunication.

      Here are screenshots of the texts between Hannah and myself of what was to be ordered and built. The flooring you guys came and installed was not up to par, due to multiple gaps, and will have to remove the floor if I ever want to remove the wall, due to the wall not being removed first and install the floor and then put the wall back together. And you stated that the floor was a 700 dollar add on but I’m sorry with supplies that you guys used was only approximately 50 in materials and the guys were on site for less then 1 hr.

      I purchased a 8x12 shed in August of 2021 and asked if the bats could be left off the shed the said yes but I was not told that without the bats that there would be a gap between the boards, the shed was delivered in September when I noticed the gaps, I immediately called them and they referred me to the contract I said fine, they said the guy to fix it was on vacation for 2 weeks and then would be over to fix it, 3 weeks went by so I called back and they made an excuse that they were waiting for me so I made an appointment ( a verbal contract) that they would come on October 19th to fix it which they never showed up. Called them back on October 22nd in the morning and Hannah said it was the first that she heard that they never showed up and that she would call them right away and get back to me, waited all day for the call back which never came so I called at 3:30pm as I know they close at 4, Talked again to Hannah and she gave me another excuse why he didn't show up and that they had to reschedule to the first of November, I said that was not expectable as I needed it fixed before the cold set in I told them that they broke the verbal contract and she said that the only solution was to reschedule I said that they could send me a small refund and I would get it fixed myself then she hung up on me which is very unprofessional. I was going to suggest a $300 refund check

      The building was built exactly as ordered. We gave him a price to cover the cost of the batts added to the shed, which was never paid so therefore no agreement. It is our policy that payment be made prior to sending a builder out to do work onsite. Due to the fact that there was not a payment made for the service, we believe the building is built as paid for.
