I had a malfunctioning air handler and called Bonded Mechanical to take a look at it. *** (who I believe is the owner) came by and diagnosed that the blower motor needed to be replaced. He said he could order the parts and install it 2 days later. I agreed to his rather high $645 quote for the service. He removed the old motor assembly and took it with him. Later that afternoon, *** called asking for my credit card info before he’d the order (not sure why he didn't get this earlier in person). I was out at the store but tried to provide the cc info. However, I explained the card was very difficult to read without my glasses. He called me back while I was driving and said the number didn’t work. I said I was driving and I'd call him later when I get home. Unfortunately, I forgot to call him back after I got home. *** never called me back and instead sent a very rude and threatening text to me saying he’s throwing away my old unit. I immediately called him back after seeing his text. He was VERY rude and VERY unprofessional demanding immediate payment for his diagnostic work (all because I forgot to return his call). In spite of his very rude behavior, I remained nice and calm and he was paid for his diagnostic visit. Regardless, he continued his very rude and unprofessional behavior and refused to do any work with me. This guy has major issues. Stay away!!! Stay away!!! Stay away!!! Stay away!!!

On Monday morning 11/28/22 we received a call from *************** on ****** ***. in ********************************. A new customer, requesting an emergency service call to repair one of his hydro coil HVAC systems in his home.Since we were already booked up, he was told that the earliest that we could get to him was two days later on Wednesday morning, to which he agreed.Upon arriving at his home on Wednesday morning with my helper, the first thing that I noticed was the mess outside of this home everywhere the eye could see. His house is in an upscale neighborhood and it was the only home on the block to look like this. When he answered the door, I noticed that the inside was not in any better shape. He led me to the attic pull down stairs, which were already opened. We entered the attic to find an approximately 25 plus-year-old air handler with the front cover off. A new transformer had recently been installed and the old one was laying inside the box, Red Flag #1. My first question to him was; when was the last time this unit had been working? He replied that it wasn't in use all summer, since the air conditioning condenser was not working. He then mentioned that he swapped out the working aquastat on the second zone unit to eliminate that being the cause of the problem and told me that the transformer was replaced last year by another HVAC company which had since gone out of business??? Now I got the picture, this customer is a "*** **** Do It Yourselfer" who may not be telling the truth, Red Flag#2. Once I examined and tested all of the integral components, I determined that the blower motor was bad. I let him know what his problem was and asked if he thought that he could handle the changeout himself. He smiled slyly and answered Yes! This was fine with me because I find that most backyard mechanics will cause problems down the road and call the contractor back and pretend that they didn't touch the equipment. As I was writing up the Invoice for the $99.00 diagnostic fee, he comes over to the van and says that he changed his mind and wanted a price to change out the blower motor. I gave him a close estimate but told him I needed to remove the blower so I could get the specs and I would give him a quote upon finding the replacement. He agreed and we removed the blower assembly and left. Later that day I called him and gave him the quote, which was within $45,00 of the estimate. I told him that the motor would need to be ordered and I would need a deposit on a credit card before I placed the order. He questioned why I needed a deposit before he hesitantly gave me the card number. When we ran the card, it came back denied, Red Flag #3. I immediately called him back and made him aware of the problem to which he made the excuse that he didn't have his glasses but he was within 5 minutes from home and would call back immediately once he had his glasses and could read the card numbers correctly. When I didn't hear back from him, I gave him the entire next day, Thursday, to call me back. Needless to say, he didn't. At this point I had decided that he couldn't be trusted so on the following morning, Friday 12/02, I texted him to let him know that he needed to pay the original $99.00 diagnostic fee and he could pick up his blower assembly when paid. I gave him a week to pay before I would write off the bad debt and trash the blower. At this point he called me and made every excuse in the book for not keeping his word but I was not interested in doing business with him any longer. He made the payment with the same card number which was off by only one digit. He mistook a 3 for a 1 but strangely enough all of the remaining 22 numbers were correct. "I may have been born at night but it wasn't last night" The blower was dropped off to him and we wished him luck. I understand that people could be down on their luck sometimes and I will do my best to help as I did in this case. The price I quoted him was our walk away price. This is where between the cost of the parts, labor, overhead and time spent picking up the motor, we would have basically been working for cost.

Good job on your response *** showing the world just how unprofessional and rude you are. A horrible business owner making false claims and way out of bounds (and very much incorrect) personal attacks against your prior customer. Keep demonstrating just how unprofessional and rude you can be. Stay away from this person and his business!
