We used this company for alarm system/monitoring. We sold our home and moved in July 2022. Prior to moving, I called the company and notified them we had moved and would not renew our service contract that was due to expire in September 2022. I then received a bill from them for the next service contract (Sept 2022-September 2023) and sent them an email (as the bill instructed to do in case of questions) explaining I had cancelled prior to our move. In October, we received another bill. When I contacted the company, they stated my September email had gone to their spam folder and they could only cancel the contract starting in November. I should not have to pay for service when I properly notified them of my move. When I told them I would file a BBB complaint, they warned me to not "threaten them." Of all of the many service providers I had to contact for a move, this is the only one who has claimed to not have notice.Business response

Im very sorry you felt your issue was not resolved. Although you may have called please understand we are an alarm company we are in the business of making people safe, People move every day. Because of liability and insurance reasons we must get any disconnect in writing or a simple email. Unfortunate that phone call needed to be one presented in writing so I see why the billing did continue. *** moved several times and certainly know it can be taxing . Our resolution was presented to you before you filed this complaint and is as follow, perfection Detection shall and has already done so credit the bill received and will use you email as an official in writing disconnect. I believe your issue should be resolved and would like to wish you luck in your new home
