  On 1/14/2023 I called Euro to have an abandoned vehicle towed from my property. I told them I was the owner of the property, but NOT the owner of the vehicle. They indicated they could tow the car but that I would need to fill out a form since I was not the title owner. They said they couldn’t send it to me until after they towed the vehicle because the firm asks for a VIN # that they would have to get off the vehicle. The car was towed in 1/17 and when I emailed them for the form they said they didn’t realize I was not the title owner and now they have a vehicle sitting in their lot that they can’t process because it has no title. Also, they indicated they would pay me $275 for the salvaged vehicle which they are now refusing to do. I don’t want to be compensated. I just want the form sent to me so that I have something in writing from Euro confirming our transaction is complete.

  We were contacted on 1/16/2023 in regards to doing a tow of an abandoned vehicle for a property owner. We agreed to do the tow for $275. We told the property owner we would not need the title as long as an abandonment form was filled out. The property owner indicated that the abandoned vehicle had been in an accident and had been sitting on her property / driveway for over a year. We told her we would send the form for the tow once we got the make, model and vin from the vehicle. We towed the vehicle on 1/17/2023. When the tow truck driver arrived to location of the car,  a resident came out and indicated that the car was his former roommates. The owner was out of state and was in the process of moving out. The tenant that was still living at the property was caught by surprise and did not know about the tow. The driver took the car and before he was even back we had phone calls from the owner of the property and the owner of the car. The owner of the car did not want the want the car sold or taken. The car owner indicated that she had just moved out on Friday which would have been 1/13/2023. She was very upset and concerned about the car that we now had in her possession. The property owner put us in the middle of a dispute between herself and her tenant. On 1/18/2023 this complaint was filed - we have not even had the chance to process all the requests. The form that she is requesting is a form that the New York State DMV requires that we have for vehicles that are on our property that do not have a title. I am not sure what she feels that she needs the form for.
