On August 11, 2021, a new roof was put on our home for $15,975.00. Since August 12, 2021 I have made several phone calls to Proctor about shingles not laying flat. We have been told someone will be coming to look at the shingles and no one has come. With the weather getting colder, the shingles will never lay flat if they wait much longer to repair them. We are concerned about possible water damage occuring.Initial Complaint

On May 29 Proctor Roofing replaced my roof and gutters on my home for the sum of fourteen thousand dollars. The first rain after the new gutters were installed, the water off the roof went over the gutters and began to wash out the soil around my foundation. I called them repeatedly and was told that Gerry would return my call that day. It is now the end of September and when I called again for the last time, I was told someone would be down on Friday or Saturday 9/24 or 9/25/2021. Nobody showed and no calls. I am out of options from them to get this resolved. When the last nail was in on the job, they wanted their money and were gone in a flash. I’m retired and fourteen thousand dollars is a large sum for me, I’d like the job to be done right. The gutters are much to small for my roof. Can you help me resolve this? I just want the correct gutters and installed properly.Business response

July 15, 2021 had roof replaced by Proctor Enterprise, Stanley, NY. Roof was to have zinc strip installed per contract, was not done. I have email twice and called five times NO response! They have been paid. I feel they should loose their BBB accreditation! Your help is needed! Thank you in advance!Business response

first of all, Jerry the owner hand wrote on the contract to install zinc strips FREE of charge so he did NOT pay the zinc strips, and the day that the crew was there to do the roof he was told that the zinc strips were out of stock, and he then called the office after that and I personally talked to him and told him that the zinc strips were on back order and our supplier didn't know when they were going to come in and to date they are still out of stock and if BBB or the homeowner would like a statement from our supplier stating that they are out of stock I will be more the happy to supply that. Almost everyone in America right now understands the shortage on supplies and certain things you just can NOT get right now and zinc strips is one of them, so I think that this homeowner's complaint is completely uncalled for because we have to control on what's going on in the world today, unfortunately we do NOT make zinc strips here at our office, we only install them.Business response
