JM mechanics installed AC and will not answer my calls after AC failed and is not working correctlyBusiness response

Thank you for the message . How this has been resolved with client . I was away at the time they were calling . I responded to them . They were looking for an estimate only . We have no locked service agreement or contract so not sure why they would call for no response . I spoke with them sent my tech for the estimate . The customer also told me they will call to have this removed being it was resolved on there end .

JM installed ductless air conditioner in my home in July of 2020 (1 main compressor with 3 units in 3 separate rooms) with a cost of approximately $7,500. Within the first 2 weeks, the units stopped working. It took JM 3 more visits to correct the problem which lasted throughout the summer heat and was operable in September of 2020. In 2021 the units started to leak water during the later part of the summer, which I attributed to high humidity. In 2022, the units stopped working again and JM never answered my call for repair. I was able to get the units working, yet the units continue to leak water within the inside of ************ unit leaks so badly that it is inoperable. The remaining 2 units are operable but I need to monitor such units as once they start to leak water I shut the units, rest them for a while and restart the units. My wife has called the business number and owners cell number and he does not respond. I called the manufacturer, *** for advice and they suggest I call the installer since the units are under warranty. This is completely unacceptable that I spent $7,500 and over the last 2 years I have nothing but problems and I don't have units that work properly. Although I have very little faith in this company's reliability, I would consider having JM install new units. If JM cannot fix the units I want my money back and I'll call a reliable company to install units. I need a resolution as I sit in 90 degree heat and humidity in ***.Business response

JM MECHANICAL HAS SUCCESSFULLY BEEN INSTALLING THESE TYPE OF UNIT FOR MANY YEARS . I DO NIT RECALL ANY MOJOR PROBLEM WITH YOU INSTALL BESIDE ONE VISIT YEAR LATER FOR CLOGGED DRAIN LINE FROM USE OF EQUIPMENT AND WAS NOT MAINTAINED. THIS DRAINS NEED TO BE CLEARED ONES A YEAR FOR PROPER FUNCTIONALITY . YOU SIMPLY NEED A MAINTENANCE IT IS NOT JM MECHANICAL RESPONSIBILITY TO CALL YOU TO MAKE THESE APPOINTMENTS.
IM SORRY YOU UNSATIFIED BUT THISNIS NOT SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE REPLACED IT JUST NEED SERVICE / CLEANING TO RESOLVE YOUR ISSUE EQUIPMENT IS 2.5 YEARS OLD AND NEEDS YEARLY MAINTENANCE.
WE ARE SORRY YOU ARE NOT HAPPY AND HAVE NO PROBLEM SETTING UP A SERVICE CALL .

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:JM, the installer is putting the blame on me for lack of maintenance. As I stated in my original complaint, the ** units were not up and running until September of 2020, the end of the summer. After one full year of use, 2021, the units stop working and are leaking water by May of 2022. So one years worth of use the units stop working due to lack of maintenance? Really? These units are so sensitive that the owner has a high degree of responsibility on maintenance and care, I don't think so. The installer has text messages and phone messages from me in 2020 and 2022 about the units not working properly. There is one particular unit that seems to shut down the system. I don't know if the unit is bad or was the system not installed properly. After four attempts to get the units working properly (for only 1 year) I'm starting to think the installer was the issue, not the units. The installer has not contacted me at all in the last 3 months after numerous messages, but mysteriously will answer messages once contact is made through BBB. ** states parts and labor are under warranty, not sure why the installer would not repair the system. I paid over $7,000 in 2020 and by 2022 I'm left with an ** system that doesn't work properly and the installer who is walking away from the issue without taking any blame or responsibility.

JM MECHANICAL SUCCESSFULLY INSTALED ** EQUIPMENT IN CUSTOMERS HOME . AS STATED WE WILL GLADLY SERVICE OUR CUSTOMERS EQUIPMENT WE INSTALLED . OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE COMPLAINING FOR A LEAKY DRAIN WHICH IS MOST DEFIANTLY A CLOGGED DRAIN / DRAIN ISSUE .THIS WOULD HAVE CAME ** IMMEDIATELY ** 2020 IF WAS FROM INSTALL . I HAVE A 1 year LABOR GUARANTEE AND I CUSTOMER IS JUST HAVING LEAK ISSUES NKW TWO YEARS LATER . ITS IS NOT FAIR THEY ARE LOOKING FOR " FREE SERVICE AND EVEN WORST REFUND OR REPLACEMENT . ALL THIS EQUIPMENT CAN BE REPAIRED AND OR SERVICED .
