I have been a client of the Great Kills marina for over 20 years I have my boat stored and docked at the marina for winter and summer storage.They always mail ** the new contract in advance and I am never late in making my payment This year they only emailed ** the contract and the payment was due April 1st I missed the email, I went in to the marina to check on my boat on the 9th of April and they told me that I am late on my payment.To my shock and dismay they were applying a late fee from April 1st to the 9th what amounted to nearly 100% of the amount due and they told me if I dont pay I have to take the boat out.I stressed to them that ******** govern how much late fee and grace ****** that should be applied (5 days grace ****** and maximum late fee of 5% per month).They left me no choice and I had to pay nearly $1900 in late fees for the 8 days on a $2200 docking contractCustomer response
