January 2021 my husband and I visited Tutor Time in Levittown, NY and received a tour by the program director **********************. At the time of the visit my daughter, ********************************* was registered in daycare at my place of employment but we were trying to find a second option that was closest to home so we agreed to pay the $240 registration fee to secure a seat once there was an opening. At the time we visited there were no availabilities and I specifically asked ********************** if we decided not to proceed with registering once a seat became available if she would issue us a refund which she replied "yes" to. Otherwise, I would have never given any payments since we really were not sure if we wanted to enroll our daughter yet and were tight on money. Fast forward a few months later after COVID began my daughter remained at home with me since my place of employment shut down as well as her daycare. I reached out to Tutor Time requesting a refund and was given a run around where the staff stated their policy is no refund. I requested to speak directly with ********************** but was never able to. The district manager, ********************** contacted me and we have been playing phone tag and email with no resolution to my issue. I am never ever able to reach her via email or phone and cannot handle further communications with them as I recently had preeclampsia with my second pregnancy resulting in an emergency induction at **************************************** because I feel robbed and lied to by Tutor Time and not being able to have my request for a refund is outrageous.
