I am troubled by the fact that Community Bank refused to accept loose change from donation boxes belonging to a nonprofit organization that has been a customer at their branch for many years. This led to the organization having to pay fees of 12.5% plus a $0.59 transaction fee at a coin exchange machine. 1) Have you thought about the beneficial effects that $21.46 could have within your community if it was used for food or household items? Or the number of lunches it could provide children who are out of school for the summer? 2) It raises questions about the role of a bank if it can’t even be bothered with your money. These are important considerations when deciding whether to use this bank for your personal accounts. If they are unwilling to support an organization that has such a significant impact on the local community, one that is so vital to so many people in Upstate NY, are they going to support you?

Community Bank has reviewed the complaint and determined that the branch did file a dispute with our third party ATM servicer. The situation has been resolved and the Bank apologizes for the inconvenience.

We went out of state for vacation, called to let them know so they wouldn’t flag our cards and were aware they would be used in SC for a week. We go to use our card at a hotel and it gets declined. My husband calls the bank back and they tell us we activated the card xxxxx. They activated the card that was en route to our house via mail that was shipped a day before we left and deactivated his current card. No verbal confirmation to us about it what so ever. And why would you activate a card that wasn’t even in our possession. They wouldn’t do a transfer to our other bank account or anything to fix their mistake that was 100% their fault and because of their mistake we didn’t have access to either of our bank accounts until Monday. Had we not had family with us we literally would’ve been stranded in another state unable to check into our hotel. Awful bank, awful customer service. We plan on switching banks within the week. Do NOT recommend this bank….specifically the Pulaski, NY branch

Community Bank has investigated the matter and found this unfortunate incident to have been caused by a Bank error. While Bank personnel were trying to assist the customer, inadvertently the wrong debit card was being activated. We sincerely apologize for this error and any inconvenience it caused.

The branch manager is a *****! Pulled into the drive through behind a car at the window , they took so long that it was 5:02 when was able to pull up to window. She proceeds to stand there and rudely mouth off and shake her finger like a child that they were closed! You shouldn’t be in the public, let alone a branch manager with that attitude! Many business are not able to close right at the exact time because their job is to serve the customer, not be a ******!

The worst bank I have ever dealt with. They called that I was short on one monthly payment due to escrow amount increase and threatened to report me to the credit bureau, I told them that I am willing to pay over the phone and no need to report for $60 as I have always been on time for 2 years. The lady took my account info and said we all set, and the transaction even showed up on my online banking transaction history. Two weeks later, the same lady called and said the transaction did not go through and I will need to pay again, this time I chose to pay in the branch to be safe and I was treated badly, I asked why I did not get a notification earlier because I had a late payment in my credit history, the branch manager literally told me that I gave the wrong number over the phone, how could it be 100% my fault as their employee could write down the wrong number. She also said that I will need to check with my account to make sure the money left my account, so the money recipient wants me to guarantee their the money but not themself, if the transaction does not go through in any grocery store I won't be able to leave the store. Very bad customer service very bad technology. They immediately point finger when things happen instead of providing help to make things easier for their customers. If I don't have three mortgages with them, I would have take all my business away from them now.

Community Bank strives to ensure each customer receives professional and courteous service and the Bank apologizes that Ms. Si’s experience was not a pleasant one. The Bank has completed a thorough investigation and determined the matter has been resolved. The Bank has attempted to reach the customer directly to relay this information.

This is more a warning. Community Bank Na has had an issue with their ********, ****** and ***** transfers for over two years now. When money is transfered into your account from say ******** it will show that it has been deposited, you will even get an alert saying so showing a positive account. Sometimes it really is there other times it goes in the next day then they charge a late payment fee if it isn't actually there. My account was positive when I went to bed that night and assuming the online app was right I didn't check back the next day and got a fee and didn't know because my money was supposedly on time. I took pictures of the notifications showing the exact time my money went in because this isn't the first time they have made me jump though hoops to get my money back. They know alot of people won't call or don't know how to fix it so they can keep their fees. They have sent memos to the branch members at the bank who can fix it and told them of the issue and that they have to fix it. So they know about their online issues. You can only get it fixed by dealing with the actual branch. They will also only fix two of the fees so Gods forbid you think your account is okay. The online app only notifies you of payments and deposits and not fees so you have no idea they are charging you. They have known of these issues for at least a year as I have seen the memos. Instead of fixing the is they have allowed it to continue and not told customers of the problem. I just spoke with my branch and was told not to believe the notifications saying my money is in my account or believe my online balance of my account till the next day even if it says the money is in the account. How is that right in any way?! Why send notifications at all that the money is deposited if it is not? That is tricky. So will my paid fees be fixed? It's a mystery. They need to make customers aware of this issue and stop abusing it to make an extra buck. I bet I get a cut and paste reply.

I ordered a washer, dryer and parts on January 12, 2021 from Best Buy, then cancelled it on January 19, 2021. Then CitiBank sent a check dated April 23, 2021 in the amount of $1,700.18, which I never cashed.I have the documentation to back my claim for cancelling the order. I have sent it to Best Buy, CitiBank and ********************************** Attorney ************ **. This have been going on for over 2 years. They have black marked my credit for appliances I never received. Obviously, because they are unable to provide a signed proof of delivery, because I never received them. I want this CHARGE-OFF, off my credit report and for Best Buy and Citibank to take responsibility for their mistake regarding my cancelled transaction. They don't even deserve a one star.**********
