The communications between Nascentia and users of their services is terrible!!! :( We are supposed to receive services for my wife who has progressive MS (for 22 yrs.) and was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease as well. They have schedulers who are supposed to let you know when their home health aides will come to your house to provide services for your loved one. When one of the aides calls in sick or has a schedule change they don't notify you and your loved one's well-being is put at risk. You think that someone will be caring for your wheelchair bound wife (etc.), while you try to do errands, go to your doctor's appointments, or participate in recreational activities of your own. You come home and find out your wife has been left alone for 2-3 hours and is upset because her aide never showed up. You complain to the schedulers, their supervisor, and other staff (via leaving voice messages) and they seldom call you back. Things have gotten worse over the past year, many days we receive no services, and they have cut her hours by 25-30% with little explanation or discussion. They do serve the one star because their nurses are dependable and kind. The rest of their staff is poor. Use another agency if you can, this one is way under staffed, and as a result gives lousy service.

If I only knew about this company Nascentia years ago. The say they help with MLTC services but do not. The operators I will say try their best in contacting. But it's always leave a message, or they will call back and it takes days when you need a answer to a question that day. Promised many things and constantly disappointed and I started to not trust when the company and staff didn't listen. You are a company of health and medical, RN and LPN. I am always told someone will call me back and takes days sometimes a week until I have to call. Apparently, my medical issues, concerns were not important to Nascentia.. Everything is very hush hush and they are not upfront, they write what they want to write in their documentations to make themselves look good. Placing my loved ones safety, life, health and well being into their hands didn't seem like such a great idea any more when they couldn't accomplish something as simple as returning a phone call or helping with a problem and now the individual is deceased So now I stuck with medical equipment. Again if I only knew.
