I tried within 30 days to get a refund because they would not update their dental locations. I filed a complaint with the California health department and after 5 months they agreed to a one time refund! I wish that I would have read the negative reviews before I jumped in with both feet! They tried to negotiate my refund, I told them NO!, I received no did it anyway!!THEY ARE THE WORST!!!Review from mike H

Liberty Dental delay deny & deceive like scammers of ******** fraud 5 years of nys taxpayers payments but no dental treatment even after a nys judge ordered judgement they had no qualified dental or dds in providers list as 99% that they assigned me to was no-longer as i was told many times for many years because hey don't like to pay providers .the same old outdated list was never updated because you would not have any providers the same as with anthem empire ********** that contracts dental to liberty ins. i have a judgement pending since 2019 & now is 2024 still no services provided yet they keep collecting payments from ******** & medicare . i can use some legal help if anybody want to help .i would not recommend anybody to trust them or pay for none insurance as money is paid but claims are repeatedly denied to run-out the clock & than say your insurance is expired & all claimed are null in-void . next sucker pay upReview from Liubou B

Liberty Dental denied the authorization for treatment of the toothache for a patient.Unbearable toothache, patient unable to eat for several days as a result and this insurance company simply doesn't want to spend money to pay dentists who want to help patients. ******************** had to prescribe strongest painkillers and antibiotics to prevent possible infection spread, but this may NOT be a substitute for dental services, as people eventually a resistance to these meds may develop and the medical condition isn't cured in the meantime and may be getting worse instead.Review from STEVEN F

When I enrolled in the Liberty Dental plan I was optimistic because the plan offered a 50% payment for standard dental services at a maximum $1,000 per quarter or $4,000 per year. Since the beginning of the year I have had several procedures including fillings, a tooth extraction and an implant. So far the plan has paid only a tiny fraction of the costs for these procedures leaving me responsible for the remainder of the expenses. I am extremely dissatisfied with this plan and my dental provider tells me that all their other patients covered by the plan feel the same way. I am currently considering filing a claim with the *** ********** of ********* Services and the ** ************************ for the misrepresentations made by this organization.Review from Sarah N

This is the dental plan associated with my *************** ********* ***. I also have private dental insurance (Thank god!) A crown came off and I went to my dentist, learned it was not salvagable, and called Liberty for a list of preferred providers near my zipcode. I was emailed a list of 15 providers that provided oral surgery. I called every dentist office on the list and NONE of them were affiliated with liberty insurance. What a fraud/rip off.Fortunately because it is dental surgery, my ******** will cover most of the cost. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone..extremely frustrating and this company needs to be reported. I called ****** and did just that. they should not be affiliated with such a shady company. If I could leave less than one star I would definitely do so.
