I rented from Ashford Management for 2 years. I needed to break my lease 2 months prior to the expiration of my lease because the living conditions became too much for me to out up with. I reported a squirrel had burrowed through our closet wall and damaged the contents of both mine and my husband's closets. I notified the landlord immediately. I was advised someone who come to review and fix the damage. When the day came for review of the damage, we were told, someone would be by in a couple days between 10 and 2. I advised my husband and I work. I asked if someone had the key to let said repair person into the apartment. I received NO response. This should have been made a PRIORITY to resolve as the squirre did so much damage, I had throw approximately $1,000 worth of clothes INCLUDING MY WEDDING GOWN in the garbage. I sent a certified letter advising that we were leaving 2 months before our lease was up because our living conditions became ridiculous as we were too afraid to sleep in our bedroom and moved our undamaged clothes downstairs and we had no choice but to sleep on the couch. The only response we were told was someone a pest company would do something on the outside of our building to determine if the squirrel was still in between the walls. NO attempts were made to repair the damage so we could TRY and live normally. I then received a letter from the President of Ashford Management that they would NOT return our security deposit because we left before our lease was up. I would give this business 0 stars if I could. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUSINESS. On top of all this, any issues that were brought to their attention were ignored. They have never received a late payment from us. The only thing that hastily did was cash our rent check.
