      BPAS has one star rating for a reason. The customer service is absolutely terrible. We recently had an issue with BPAS having the wrong birth-date listed in their records. Every other company I've ever worked with had a series of security questions to work around this issue. Not BPAS, instead the customer service people just said screw you tough luck, send us a drivers license to change it, and no you can't do it now, you'll have to fax it (who has a fax these days), and no we won't confirm we actually received it. You'll have to wait an indeterminate amount of time, then spend another hour on hold to see if it was changed....oh did I mention that we spent over an hour on hold just to find out they won't do anything. And they stopped sending paper statements and said we could change that on our online account....the account we cant access because they messed up inputting a birthday.....terrible service....nothing but trouble with them

      If I could give minus stars for this company I would. They have deliberately witheld fund in my account and have spent months finding ways to prevent my closing a retirement account. Their customer service is abysmal and the respresentative are rude and dismissive. Never, on purpose have anything to do with this company.

      I cannot express how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with BPAS. Dealing with their customer service has been nothing short of a nightmare. They hang up on you if you say anything they do not like, give you an attitude about everything, and refuse to take any responsibility for anything. There is no point in letting your money go to this business because you won't have access to it anyway. Instead of opening an account with them, you can deposit the money safely into a different bank account and never have to go through the hassle of dealing with these arrogant people. If you are looking for a company that excels in incompetence, indifference, and a complete lack of professionalism, then BPAS is the right choice for you. From the beginning, it feels as though the customer service representatives are trained to deny anything you ask for so that the company can legally steal your money before you have the chance to use a penny. They are robots reading from a script and are unable to address their customer's questions and concerns. It is like they have a contest going on to see how many hoops they can create for you to jump through before sending you to their make-believe Supervisor who also has no ability to help. After dealing with them for over a year, I have finally withdrawn from the benefit and can only say that I believe their primary purpose is to steal people's money. They take pride in making sure there is no avenue for their customers to receive any support. You may be treated better by a criminal on death row than by BPAS. Save yourself the headache and place your money in something you have access to because the tiny bit you save on taxes will be stolen anyway.

      Our company just switched HSA providers from BPAS and they have been a hassle to work with. They don't allow you to access more than 90% of your funds at once which feels ethically wrong, and I then learned you actually can't make a charge with the full 90% but it needs to be about 89% or the transaction fails. Website is difficult to navigate with limited functionality. Not a good experience. Benefits brokers: stay away and find a better option.

      I had requested fund transfer of all funds from my previous compies 401K into my new 401K. This did not happen as the plan's policy had moved my funds from 401K to an IRA. Just so happens the IRA fees on that policy transfer are more than the money being made, so basically they fee-ed my account to death (the average fee over the past 10 years is 11.5x as much I made in interest). I recently moved and got a notification in the mail about this account. In trying to salvage the little bit left was told they can not even get the remaining funds distributed as their fee to distribute ($75) is $5 more than what is left in the account. So they get to keep what is left until the balance is zero... They are more interested in their bottom line than their customers as in my discussion with them the response what that it was my responsibility and not their fault.

      I think a bad choice by any business to use this co.. My experience with them not good. Annoying and unsatisfactory at best. Can't seem to handle even simple. Not good co.

      We’re sorry to hear you were not happy with our services. In reviewing your recent interactions with BPAS, there seems to be a communication concern. Our efforts to reach you via phone are often unsuccessful, as your phone has blocked our callbacks. And, for security reasons, we cannot respond to messages over social media or provide detailed information via email. Retirement plans are governed by IRS and DOL standards, so we need to follow strict protocols for both security and compliance reasons. Your account is also mandated by your employer’s plan documents, which offer you a variety of distribution options that permit you to take a withdrawal at regularly scheduled intervals any time throughout the year. One of our representatives was able to contact you successfully on February 2 to let you know the status of your withdrawal and discuss your distribution options going forward. Please note that processing time for a distribution is typically 7-10 business days as long as all of the information on the form is accurate. In your case, we received the completed paperwork on January 20, 2022; the check was issued on February 1, 2022, which was 9 business days. For future withdrawals, we encourage you to submit your withdrawal form with enough time to allow for processing and mailing. Should you need assistance in completing the form or to help with timing, we recommend that you contact our Participant Services team via phone. We hope this issue is now resolved for you.

      This is hands down the worse company I've ever dealt with. I've been dealing with trying to cash out my IRA from my old company. Principal told me this company had been sent a check with my money and they had the funds. I called BPAS on August 25th to see if they had started my new IRA account or if they had my funds. After giving them all of the my information the women told me they had no trace of my account in their system and principal still has the money. After calling principal for 2 weeks I finally was told that BPAS had actually cashed the check and they have the money. So I called back again 2-3 weeks later (September 8th) to have my phone call answer by one of the most useless customer service representative I've ever dealt with. After arguing and explaining to her the situation she threatens to hang up on me. Then, Magically my account and information appeared and I was told I had to create a account. Unlike any other 2021 company, it takes 3 business days to setup/process a login in lmao. After my account was setup (3 business days, 5 normal days later) I called back today (September 14th) to finally find out how to get my money. I'm now told after submitting the form online that I have to wait 5-7 business for them to process a 1 page form. I mean I'd understand if the form was 20-30 pages. IT IS 1 PAGE! Here's the final straw for me, after waiting another 5-7 business days for them to process the 1 page distribution request, they wont send it electronically through direct deposit like every single other company in today's age. It takes them another 5-10 business days to put the check in the mail. I've been waiting on this money for over a month now. the fact this is going to take 2 months from start to finish is a absolute joke. How is this company even in business? Do they have a competent management??? Look at all of the reviews with people having the same issue. Pathetic excuse for a 401k company. I have bills to pay, and the customer service/whole company could give 2 ***** about to consumer, they make it nearly impossible to find out how to get your money or if they even have it!
