Action for Older persons recommended that I contact you resolve my dilemma. Washburn Windows has not provided replacement/repair of faulty lifetime guaranteed windows. In 2022-23, it took 10 months to replace the dining room window; COVID supply chain issues cited, as well as installer, observed by neighbor, who parked on the street, for three hours in an unmarked truck, failed to announce his presence. Finally, when the crew arrived in mid October 2023 and successfully installed the replacement, I alerted them to the non-functioning kitchen and bathroom windows. They took photos; said they would alert Doug Washburn to the problem. They were very professional. As of this writing, my current complaint occurred six months ago. I have repeatedly left messages for Washburn at his office as well as cell phone numbers, to no avail. My assistant also called, using her mobile phone with a local area code. No response. I am elderly, disabled. The winter was extremely cold. Leaky windows mentioned allowed cold air to enter the house, impacting my well-being as well as heating bills. Apparently Washburn Windows has moved from Johnson City to Vestal, indicated on their website. I found their 535 Vestal Pkwy. location; no signage, locked door. I am requesting replacement of bathroom and kitchen windows immediately. If Washburn is unable or unwilling to honor our contract, I require FULL REIMBURSEMENT of faulty bathroom and kitchen windows as well as labor fees as per our original lifetime agreement. Based on the lack of respect, good business practices, taking responsibility and follow- through I do not recommend Washburn Windows to anyone. I have waited long enough. I require replacement by May 1, 2024. I think that is more than reasonable. I have been persistent. I have waited long enough. Additionally, an apology to me from Washburn is in order.
