This company sent a salesman to our house who could not provide price transparency or an itemized list; spoke poorly of other businesses in the area; pressured us into making an immediate sale; and was reluctant to leave when we said we would not agree to a same day deal. The salesman was not even allowed to leave a written offer. The ad in the newspaper only applies if you close a deal the same day. They also say they offer 100% financing, but could not provide any details about it. I prefer doing my business with businesses who don’t pressure or intimidate their customers and can be transparent. We were only allowed discounts or trade-ins if we left a review and agreed to work with this business before the salesman left. He showed up 20 minutes early and left 90 minutes late. Before leaving, he said he had to call his boss to make sure he got paid. He called his boss on speakerphone, while they discussed how great they are and how sorry we’ll be for not agreeing to spend $20,000 without thinking about it.

Good morning and thank you for your email. We are quite surprised and disappointed with the review and everything you went through. Shocked to say the least. First of we would like to apologize for the inconvenience. We truly do not train our sales reps to pressure or not give estimates. $20,000 is a lot of money and I definitely see where you are coming from. We can't go back in time , but please accept our apology as this is not a reflection on how pace does business or has done business in the last 40 years.Review from Gregory C

Excellent sales service and window installation. Very timely with the initial call, respectful of budget issues unlike other companies that tried to force us into a different situation. Installation of the windows was quick and very clean. The installer took time to make sure we knew every feature of the new windows and they came out gorgeous. We were so impressed we decided to move to phase 2 (more windows) ahead of other projects and will be using them moving forward for the rest.Pace Window & Door Corp. Response

The least drafty window in the entire Rochester area with a .06 air infiltration rating, all others have a .3 air infiltration rating. The highest efficiency of any window in the Rochester area. The BEST warranty out there! Lifetime transferrable window that covers EVERYTHING with NO EXCEPTIONS!!!Review from Franca C

We paid $28,000 to have 16 windows installed last December. 7-months later we still have 4 windows inoperable because the screens fall out with the slightest breeze. Without air conditioning we rely on a nice breeze to cool off. Our phone calls are either met with empty promises or are unresponsive. Clearly we fall at the back of the line behind “new” customers. With 25% of our windows not working, Pace owes us a credit of $7,000. In retrospect we should have never paid them in full until we were completely satisfied. Lesson learned. Also, my financial advisor often asks me about my satisfaction so she can pass it along to other clients. You have earned one star from me.Pace Window & Door Corp. Response

This company is awful we commissioned an exterior patio door 6 months ago. Due to Covid delays happened which we understood. The install date was scheduled for 1/11/22 which had to be number a day due to weather again I understood. The day of the install which I took off work for, a call saying they had to bump us another day because their tech got his booster. This is ridiculous I will never recommend this business and I almost wish I could just get my deposit back and tell them to stick it. This whole process has been a disaster.Review from Karen S

January 2022, it has been a year since, Steve, the Pace salesman came to our house. He made many promises and we were skeptical. Pace arrived in June and replaced 10 casement windows. 8 of the windows were in brick. Our home was built in 1949. The crew worked efficiently and quickly. All 10 windows were installed in less than 6 hours. There was no inside or outside damage and everything was cleaned up and old windows were removed. They fit perfectly and looked beautiful inside and out. The week before the install we had some severe heat. Steve promised that the new windows would greatly reduce the heat transfer into the house. 3 weeks after the install we again had a week of severe heat. The windows were amazing in keeping the heat out. We have an app that tells us how often our air conditioning runs. There was a substantial decrease in our air conditioning cost. Working from home we noticed we could not longer hear the garbage trucks go by. Steve promised us it would be quieter. Now that it is winter we can hardly hear the plow or train go by. Winter has proven more of Steve's promises. We no longer have cold air sneaking through gaps around or through the windows. We do have condensation on the windows but this wipes easily with a microfiber clothe. The whole house is warmer and less drafty as well as quieter. The windows have also decreased our heating cost. Thank you Pace for coming through on your promises of quick install, fit and finish, savings on heating and cooling and increase in quietness. ***** **
