1 starI booked a last minute trip to attend a funeral. Thanks economy bookings for ruining the one and only and last chance to get to say goodbye to a good high school friend. I booked through them thinking I was getting a great deal. I called everyone letting them know I was going to get the chance to visit and now I cant go due to not being able to travel around. Im so glad I called them before and actually was able to speak to someone. They told me that I will need my card to rent out my card. But I asked why is that when I already paid to rent the car. They dont tell you about the security deposit fee they hold while your renting the car and once its in good condition they will deposit the $500 or $200 back into your account within a month. Someone please let me know if theyve given your deposit back within the month. Moral of the story I cant get a refund because it hasnt been within the first 48hrs when I booked an emergency flight yesterday. They dont care. These are scammers. ******** need to remove there company for car rentals.Review fromKhalid E

1 starB64068659 I booked a car through EconomyBookings more than a year ago. When I arrived at ***************** to pick up the car, the local rental company refused to release the vehicle because my credit card did not have embossed numbers, even though the card was valid and was accepted at the time of booking.This requirement was never clearly stated in the booking terms. As a result, I was left stranded without a car despite having fully paid in advance. When I asked for a refund, EconomyBookings refused and provided no real solution, even though I received no service at ****** is unacceptable for a company to take full payment, fail to deliver the promised service, and then refuse to return the money. I strongly warn other consumers to avoid EconomyBookings due to their unfair and misleading practices.Resolution I am seeking:Full refund of my payment, OR at minimum a credit/voucher of equal value for a future booking.Review fromCeleste D

1 starThis place charges for services they are not capable of providing (e.g. second ****** fee, insurance) which are not accepted by the car rental company upon arrival. SO you end up paying for the same services twice and nobody will refund you. Absolute scam. Also there is nobody to talk with on the phone...I did finally reach one person after much trying, who only referred me back to the online complaint portal for the finance division. I asked to be transferred to the finance department directly, seeing as how I was already on the phone, and was informed there are no phones in the finance division. What a ******! How do they manage to do business without any phones at all? So, they owe me about a $400 refund, give or take. Since the same rental services were paid for twice, and Economy was not the party to render those services, there just isn't any other way of seeing the issue. Maybe they can buy at least one phone for the finance division with my $400? Not a fancy one, but at least a landline. So then others might have the opportunity to dispute cases directly, before any imaginary time limit elapses.Review fromIsaiah T

1 starI used economy bookings to reserve a car rental in ***************. The car rental company did not have my vehicle or a replacement when I arrived at the destination. Since they didnt have my vehicle and I booked through economy bookings. They said Ill have to cancel my reservation and get a refund them. I filled out a customer service complaint form on August 14 and have not seen or heard from economy bookings at all. I filled out another request on August 27 and still didnt hear anything back. Do not use economy bookings for any car rental services. I am out 200+ dollars and no one is even attempted to contact me. I have tried calling the car rental company . I also tried calling economy bookings, and they told me someone will be looking into it multiple times. But yet no one has have any contact with me nor any solutions. Do not use economy bookings for anything. I will never use them for any other services after this customer service.Review fromAustin J

1 starI booked a rental and used cancel at anytime feature as promoted on the page. I booked another rental and then cancelled my previous reservation. I expected to receive a refund but was only provided a credit. Upon reading the fine print in their FAQ page, you cannot get the funds returned to your credit card if it's cancelled within 48 hours. I emailed them and requested a refund but they repeated the same thing. I need this money back as this was my first rental car overseas. Not getting my money back when I booked another rental is really bad business. They've effectively taken over $400 of my money and only provided me $200 of value. Why would I book with you guys again when you hold my money hostage...? 1 starPlease beware, they are not an honest company. I expect to get another CHATGPT response like the other complaints below. Here's my complaint: I rented a car from this company for a trip to *****, **, paid with my credit card and they immediately charged my card. Then my brother let me know I could use his car so I contacted the company by email because I could not reach anyone by phone. It's been 5 days, I've tried to contact them everyday and I still have not heard from them nor received the refund to my credit card. It is one month before the date of my rental agreement. Today I am going to send them a letter with all the details to their NY address. I'm afraid I will never get my $199. refund to my credit card. If you are considering renting from them to get their low price rental, don't do it! At least try to contact a person before you send them money. You will soon discover that there is no one responding, no one reachable and this is likely a foreign company scamming Americans who are looking for a reasonably priced rental car. If it sounds too good to be true IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. I will continue to pursue this *** Corporation because I want my hard earned money back! Please beware!Review fromMoamen E

1 starJust a SCAM, stay away from them. They deceive you about pricing , they tell you something if you pay now you pay this dollar anount, and after you checkout they tell you your booking is confirmed, and you need to pay this amount at the car rental counter! they took a $101 commission for renting a car for one day LOL. 1 star************. They will trick you into booking a rental through sketchy rental agencies with hidden fees. In my case it was $60/day in extra fees on top of the rental price. And then they will not respond to any inquiries until any cancellation/no show/etc. deadlines have passed and then hide behind their "policies". 1 starI booked a 2-week rental through Economy Booking with a confirmed 11:30 PM pickup time. When I arrived, the rental counter was closedthey dont stay open that late. I called the location, and they confirmed no one would have been there at that time. Economy Booking sold me a reservation that literally could not be fulfilledand still refuses to refund me.Their customer service has been dismissive and completely unhelpful. I was stranded late at night, lost hundreds of dollars, and theyve taken zero accountability. This company is deceptive and unethical. 1 starEconomy booking was totally dishonest. We booked a car rental that was supposed to be 100% refundable AND unlimited mileage, and when it came to to rental pickup, they all of the sudden wanted extra money.
