I had a muffler replaced on my mobility van and was quoted $321.00 so following week in July 2023 they replaced my muffler took 3 days. Isotope pay and it’s $455 not $321 they said it was more difficult to put in and needed a lot of welding. So I bring it home 3 weeks later I pull out of my driveway and the muffler hits. They put the muffler in the middle not in the back and in the mobility van that’s the lowest point because aesthetically it looked better. Mind you it’s 3-4 inches off the ground. I take it to the garage and they said they would make it right. I go to pick up the van and get a bill for $121. Now $21 is for the NYS inspection but they charged me for another muffler. The first manager was fired for screwing up and doing drugs so I was dealing with Andy. He took $50 off the bill. But I don’t think I should’ve paid for another muffler when they screwed up, but according to the boss it was 2 months past 30 days which it wasn’t I called 3 weeks after and no one called back. I went the following week and talked to them. So the owner would not take responsibility for their screw up. So last week Oct 10 I took a drive to Rochester on the way we smell something burning. The muffler burned and melted my bumper. A bracket to hold the muffler wasn’t put on or on properly and came lose somehow and the muffler melter not only the muffler but also a sensor for the air bags. So I’m lucky they didn’t deploy as I was driving. Or that my van didn’t catch on fire. I called the garage and brought the van down and manager says they need to make this right but I know what the owner is going to say. I do not drive this van very much at all and I told them that and to have all these problems and charge me all that money for there mistakes is wrong. They need to make this right, it’s not my fault they hired incompetent mechanics. Telling me asthetically it looked better who says that.Business response

The former owner had installed the muffler. The current owner explained that he installed a new muffler. One of the hangers had come off, possibly because the vehicle had been bottomed out--this is not something that would have normally happened. This should be submitted to insurance.Initial Complaint

Had work done.Brakes sway bar and axle work.Checked brake fluid level prior to bringing it.Git the car back and brake fluid cylinder was empty.Brakes were squeezing.Returned it mechanic said nothing wrong maybe a sensor .Brought it to another shop and all 4 brake lines were leaking in the junction box.Manager was standoffish and said not his problem and hung up in neBusiness response

We fundamentally disagree with his assessment and much of what he is saying is completely false. We did not find merit in his complaints and he is merely upset about the price.JOTOGO INCDBA - Autos Specialist Repair
