We have contacted the finance source through which the customer financed. We asked them to dismiss any solicitation.  In the event of a primary borrower default they will contact her for payment.  This is written in the finance contract the customer agreed upon.

On 9/8/22 I got a vehicle from Drive America. Romeo was my salesman. I had a vehicle to trade, but trade in was only $2700 and my payoff was around $4900. Romeo told me his partner dealership would buy my payoff out for the vehicle instead of using it with a negative equity. I agreed. About a week later I got a call from the company my old vehicle is financed through telling me the “partner dealership” called them demanding them to pick up the vehicle and claimed a bunch of charges and lies! Claims there was no deal to buy it and that it was towed there and left on his lot! Romeo drive with us there and handed this guy my keys!! I contacted the manager at drive America and he said he would get back to me. Couple days later Romeo texts me harassing me claiming I lied and cost him his job. When he TRICKED me into a new auto loan when I specifically told him I can’t afford a repo and can’t afford 2 auto payments at a time! He made a deal to have my old vehicle paid off so I could purchase a new used one from him! This is so unlawful and unjust! I was a grateful happy satisfied customer until this mess! Now the owner has contacted me from Drive America and says he can’t help me. They fired Romeo, but do not care about making it right with me as the customer who was tricked and coaxed into a false deal just for the salesman’s commission profit. I am disgusted at the way this business is willing to see what was done to me and not even attempt to make it right. There has not been an ounce of morality or any attempt to make this right. This is truly sickening to do to a single mother of 4, going through divorce with only one income. No business should operate this way. No business should get away with doing this to its customers. This is unlawful, to the fullest. I pray something gets done about this!

We did not take ********** vehicle is trade.  We are not privy to the allegations the customer is making.  We are not affiliated with a "partner dealership".  We have no involvement with any transaction, other than the vehicle purchased from Drive America.

Bought a truck for 38k from them September 2021 and had to have the motor replaced in December 2021 after they replaced the motor, I was doing routine maintenance on it and realized that pieces of the motor were not installed properly and caused more issues with the truck. I have had to replace the motor, alternator, turbo, and now the starter. I don’t even want to take it back to have work done to it because of how badly they messed it up last time. When I got it back, I noticed that it was leaking oil all over the engine and they had forgotten to put my dipstick back in and coated most of the motor with oil. I did some research on the previous owner of the truck and it turns out he had drove the vehicle into a substantial amount of water and had to have the motor and entire electrical system replaced. They did not disclose to me any of these issues that are public record.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to me.  I do not trust this business to service my vehicle due to multiple discrepancies in their abilities in the past. What I would like is for them to pay to have a different shop to fix the issues they caused.

      Regards,
      ******* *****

I bought a car from these guys just over a week ago they advertised it to me as All wheel Drive and sold it to me stating it was All wheel Drive and it was not which I didn’t find out until after I was told by sales manager Mike O’****** that a refund was possible so I brought the car back to them over the weekend now the owner is saying I can’t have my money and they’re going to tow the car if I don’t come pick it back up. Other dealerships in the area and the bank I fin cancel the vehicle through are telling me this is illegal and that they should be able to buy the car back from me.

Bought used under 5000 miles 2020 ********** ********* ***** se on 9/1/21 before signing paperwork there was a list of repairs to be done and replacement key fob (we were told the car had been in a slight accident according to there car care report (none descriptive ) and not a ****** report less than 2000 miles later all the dash lights came on. FCN/Air bags disabled - possible icy road ahead (70 degrees out) Called service department they said we had full covered warranty to take it to Mitsubishi dealer for diagnostics Mitsubishi told us car wasn't warranted because it had many  after market parts & windshield - the car needed fr end harnass / outside air temp sensor at a cost of $2.48817. We took car back to dealership because warranty wouldn't pay for it (they jimmy rigged the harness & sensor) they bragged about it  - we asked for money back (refund) & them to take car back. they will not do.

I purchased a 2013 Ford ******** from this dealership. The car comes with a 30 day dealer warranty and I also purchased an extended warranty. Wishing the 30 days I’ve brought the car there several times for several issues. The dealer only made 1 repair order and for the several times I brought the car there. The roof of the car is leaking water and there’s is water damage in the roof and floor. When I got the car there was a puddle on the floor of at least a couple gallons. The car has a terrible shake that the dealer told me nothing was wrong. When brought to a different dealership they diagnose my right front CV axle as the issue. Drive America would not cover the fix and when I tried to fix it at another dealer the extended warranty denied the work to be done. Regardless this should’ve been covered under the dealers 30 day warranty. The CV axle is my main concern as it shakes the car vigorously and could put me and my family in a wreck or stranded. However besides the CV axle and roof leaking they also sold the car with an open safety recall. My backup camera doesn’t work, neither does my AC. Everytime I’ve brought the car to the dealer they have told me there’s nothing wrong with the vehicle. They did replace the backup camera with another camera that also doesn’t work.

While being fixed at dealer the technician test drove it and ruined the transmission. Dealer would not get me a loaner so i was without a vehicle for 3 weeks. They put 2 different transmissions in before i was told it was finally done. Had it back for 2 weeks and now transmission is gone again and Engine is ticking. I want them to keep the Van and refund me My down payment and the 4 Payment i have made. I have no vehicle at this point I have to have surgery and Dr. appointments to go to and live in an area without taxis or Uber. My husband works 12 hour days and 6 days a week running a business and cant afford to lose time at work. We are down to only his vehicle that is going in for repairs within a few days will have no vehicle thanks to Drive America of Watertown NY.
