On 8/3/2023, I took my vehicle, **** ******** ******, to Limelight Automotive to inquire about installation of a new lift kit on my vehicle and to obtain an estimate for the installation. There was nothing wrong with my existing lift kit; I just wanted to get a new one installed to increase lift and performance. Limelight agreed to install a new lift kit - ******** ***** **** Suspension System (2.5” lift) - w/ ****** 2.1 Shocks for ******** ** two doors - a brand new product that I purchased online and provided to Limelight. They agreed to charge me for labor only in the amount of $712.80. I came to pick up the car and paid the amount on 8/14/2023, but I ended up off the road while driving very slowly since I was not able to turn the steering wheel in any direction. The car was making a lot of cracking noise, and I returned it to Limelight with emergency lights on after 200 feet. They admitted that they didn’t test-drive the car before giving it to me. They agreed to take the car back and fix it. I came back to pick up the car on 8/19/2023 when Limelight presented me with a “fixed car” along with a box containing some parts of the new kit that they did not install as they agreed to do and for which I paid. Some parts of the new kit that they did not install were missing and Limelight claimed that they could not find them. They did not return my old kit as they were supposed to do, and they refused to work more on the car even though it was making the same noise as before and the steering wheel did not turn properly. Because of the apparent safety concerns and the Limelight’s refusal to cooperate, I took the car to a different service provider - ******* ******** **** ***** *** - which confirmed the safety issues caused by the Limelight and the damage to the vehicle as a result of Limelight’ labor (document attached). After ******** **** fixed the damage and made the car safe to drive, I went back to Limelight and presented them with the billing statement that I paid to ******** ****. Since these expenses were caused by Limelight and their unprofessional treatment of the customer, I asked Limelight for a refund in the amount of $1969.81, which they rejected. If Limelight refuses this offer to settle the matter, I will be forced to take other steps in exposing their unprofessional and fraudulent actions and will seek appropriate measures and compensation for the damages including my safety, my time off work, and my financial expenses caused by Limelight.
