      STAY AWAY!! I wish I listened to the BBB review left by another customer. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with this company.The only positive comment I can make is that his sons are nice.The owner, *****************************, has no regard for agreed upon completion dates or quality of work. We signed contracts for an extension, on March 20, 2021. As of June 7th, 2022 the job was still not completed.He told us that this job would take approximately 3 months and that it would be completed late July-early August 2021.He then blamed his architect having personal problems for the plans being 4 months delayed. We told him we wanted to cancel but he convinced us to stay with him telling us the town is only running 3-4 weeks to issue permits and the job would definitely be completed by late October, early November 2021. We hear nothing for months and then he blames the town taking so long to issue to permits after he tells us they are being issued within 1 month.Late December, 2021,The day before the job is finally going to start, he tells me we have to pay an additional ****** dollars if we want the basement. He quoted us a price of ****** to excavate for the basement and then tells us that if you want a basement it is now going to be ****** dollars. After this we told him that we either want a refund of our deposit and cancel the job or we want a new contract stating that the job would be completed NO LATER THAN MAY 1ST , 2022 On Saturday, April 2nd, less than a month before the agreed upon completion date, all we had was a shell, not even the drywall was up. He comes over and asks for another large payment. His payment schedule is top heavy so he gets most of his money upfront regardless of lack of progress.When we told him we need to see some progress before the next payment he said, "If I don't get paid today or Monday at the latest, all work stops". We had to hire contractors to fix his costly errors and finally finish the job. Unprofessional and incompetent company.

      We take any complaint about my company very seriously and after many hours of checking my dates, money owed and credits applied in order to give the most accurate response. I was very hurt reading this review for my company that has been in business for over 37 years and has thousands of satisfied customers. We did have problems with the architect taking so long for the plans that in early August 2021 my customer decided to cancel the job and I was going to return her $4500 deposit. The architect agreed to $1000 discount for delaying the project and my customer agreed to continue. We submitted the plans and got the approved plans and permits around the end of October 2021. I had my ***** meet me at the jobsite in early December 2021 and that was the first time he was there. The problem with digging with the machine was initially we would be able to get it back there but because the property runs at an angle we wouldnt be able to get the machine out after digging the basement. I informed the homeowners and told him at that time it would be an additional $10,000 to hand dig and removal of the fill. My customer called other ***** contractors to get her own prices to do the foundation and Im not sure of the outcome but she did agree for us to do the original foundation with a crawlspace that was in my contract. I received an email on December 26, 2021 from homeowner that she wanted an amendment to the original contract that would include all the extras as of that date, that we will hand dig and remove the fill for the crawlspace foundation and that it would be completed by May 1, 2022 as long as there was no supply issues or additional work that will extend the time. **** agreed to this and we signed an amended contract on January 15, 2022. When we signed contracts there is a payment schedule, there was a total of nine payments that are due as the job progresses. The April payment that she refers to was a little higher than the other payments because she had a lot of extras that were completed and not paid for. There still is a substantial balance of money that is owed to my company. I tried to work everything out with the customer but she chose not to let me finish the job. I try to satisfy all my customers and unfortunately had to turn this matter over to my attorney. Thank you for letting me respond to this complaint.
