We ordered fuel oil through reinhardt, and the driver knocked on the door and insisted we needed the lines bled because we had been low (not empty) on oil. I let him inside, and he went downstairs to bleed them. He came back up, and asked which switch was the emergency shut off, i showed him. He then proceeded to yell over a radio about how he didn't know what to do ( i could hear him all the way upstairs). He came upstairs and tried telling me there was no power at all to the furnace, and it was like that when he got there. That is not true at all, it was running even when he came to deliver the fuel, which i told him. He was making me uncomfortable, and i was alone with my 2 small children. He kept insisting i needed to let him call a tech in to fix it. We tried calling, and no one was picking up before they were closed. My fiancé finally got through but it was after hours, and explained to them what happened, insisting that the driver messed up our furnace (it was working fine before he went down there) and to come look at it and fix it, no charge. A tech came, showed me switches the driver had flipped that he shouldn't have, some of our breakers were tripped, and a fuse had blown. He went back to their business for the fuse, took over an hour and when he finally got back, said he didn't even need it, that it was a plate in there, and that the entire box wasn't even needed, and by passed it. He said he wasn't sure if the driver was trying to cover his own butt and messed up or not, but he'd fix it. No prices were told to us, my fiancé had told them we wouldn't be paying anything because they had messed it up and we had no heat, and when this tech left he also did not mention charging us. We got an almost $800 bill in the mail, and when we called, the guy was very rude and argued with us, and now they won't answer their phone at all.

I use HEAP, HEAP requires you be at a certain level of fuel to obtain your voucher for fuel. Basically you have to be running on fumes before they release funds. I have gotten my voucher, my fuel is paid for, they know I am out, knew I was close to oit three days ago but they won't deliver until next week. Now if I state it is an emergency I get charged, $100 for delivery, if I run out I get charged a line check fee of $80. So, I had to shut off my furnace so I would not run dry (I was at 2% according to my gauge) and now have not had heat for three days. They were called and said they will be in my area NEXT WEEK. MID WEEK. so I have to go with no fuel for an entire week because of it?? I am very displeased. Both my husband and I are disabled, we cannot afford extra fees so here we have to sit until they do my area? My fuel is PAID for I should get it within two days. They blame it on the virus but if you can't handle business volume maybe you ought to pare down the area you serve?? I will definitely be changing providers. I need a company that I can depend on and that won't literally leave me out in the cold and try to force those on severely limited incomes to pay added fees because their deliveries are two weeks behind. Quality is far greater than quantity. Just because we are forced to depend on HEAP to help with our fuel because of a disability does not mean we are lesser people and last to get service. They should understand HEAP requires you to be at 10% before they release funds and that by the time funds are sent two days of usage have gone by so therefore they are dangerously LOW. This kind of "service" can actually kill people and destroy homes if pipes should freeze. And this weekend a storm is coming, temps are dropping lower. I am filled with despair and locked in a room with a single little electric heater because my paid for services aren't being delivered and I refuse, actually cannot afford to ask for emergency delivery.
