F&D Construction did a complete tear off of my roof. I have had persistent problems with intermittent leaking. I have a mansard roof with dormer windows, which I learned through this experience is considered a "complicated" roof. F&D provided a 10 year workmanship warranty and a 30 year shingles warranty. Since they installed the roof, I have had numerous issues that they merely triage or refuse to address. For starters, the day after the roof was installed, luckily it rained, and I noticed that water was pouring into my house because the roofers failed to replace rotted plywood around my dormer windows. They also failed to medal wrap sections of my mansard roof which eventually attracted a woodpecker. In addition, the roofers failed to replace the plumbing vent on top of my roof. After much debate, F&D came back out and explained that the medal wrap was never part of the statement of work and charge me an additional $600 to cover the exposed wood to resolve my woodpecker issue. The owner, Brian, and I had several conversations regarding the leaking; he attempted to remedy the issues by only tearing off and replacing a section of the mansard roof that meets the dormers. To this day, I continue to have issues with water leaking through my dormer windows. And to add insult to injury, now my shingles are covered with mold. I have called F&D numerous times, and IF they're responsive, they merely triage the problem. They've had their workers come out take pictures and reattached broken shingles. Regarding the excessive mold, they claimed that they needed to talk their "shingle rep" to see if the shingles can be replaced. And they are outright refusing to address the leaking issues by refusing to call me back to discuss the matter. All of their field workers claim to have recommended that the roof be completely replaced, but the owner (Brian) is refusing to take responsibility for the poor workmanship by honoring his company's 10 year warranty.
