I purchased a 2016 ********* ********* *** from Galaxy auto in West Seneca, signed all paperwork with finance company with extended warranty, took vehicle home. Next day received a call from Galaxy stating finance company fell through. Then after talking a few times they found a new finance company. Was told everything would be the same but interest rate. Went to sign new papers and was sent down the street... assuming it was the finance guy, again told us everything was going to be the same but the rate. Galaxy did a couple of small repairs without a problem. Fast forward 11 months later our engine needs repairs so we called just to be told we signed off on the extended warranty! And we did not purchase the truck from them ???So now we are stuck with a 11000.00 engine repair.Business response

Mr. ***** ***** contacted us on 4/26/23 to find out if he had an extended warranty because he believes his truck needs repair, we advised him that he did not purchase one at the time of sale. A customer is always able to purchase an extended warranty at the time of sale, but for reasons that are unknown to us Mr. ***** chose not to purchase the warranty. We offered to look at the truck and asked him to send us copies of his oil change receipts as he has not had the oil changed with us ever. Engine problems in ***** ********** are rare, but could happen without regular oil changes. We have not heard back from Mr. ***** since 4/26/23.

We have done the oil changes when required. When we originally signed paperwork we told Scott that we need the extended warranty because we use the truck for work. After we signed all the paperwork and took the truck home., We received a call from Galaxy and was told the finance fell through! We had to bring the truck back?? We then were told they found another finance lender and everything will be the same except the interest rate. We were pretty flustered and should have double checked paper work. But believed Scott. They did do a few repairs on the truck at the shop. The wheel well was supposed to be fiberglassed and repainted. Rust bubbles are starting to show again. After we found out they pulled a fast one on us with the warranty, we not longer had trust so we took it to be repaired at a dealership.Initial Complaint

I bought a car from Galaxy auto Pl., February 2022. I bought the car and the sunroof was not working. I was told that due to Covid it would take a while for the part to come in and I will have my sunroof fixed by the time summer started. It is now September 2022. I still haven’t had my sunroof fixed yet. Now I’m having an issue with a check engine light. It keeps popping on my inspection is coming up in February. I have no clue how I’m going to pass inspection with this light still on. I took the car in for some work to see why the lights keep popping on. They told me it would be $125 just to look at the car so I told him to look at it and let me know how much it would be to get the issue fixed I spoke with a man by the name of JAY I guess he is the head mechanic. He called me and told me about the issue and was saying that they don’t deal with it. I would have to take it to GM he said he got the light off because he unplugged it and then plug it back in but if it pops on again I would have to go to a GM dealership. He also told me that I needed my wheel bearing on the driver side fixed which will cost like $300. I told him I have a warranty through *********. He told me that he didn’t really deal with ********* because they never cover anything, but he said he will call and see if they were covered. I gave him the phone number. He called me back a hour later and told me they did not cover it. I then proceeded to look at my policy and it had wheelbearings were covered on there, so I gave car shield a call when I contacted *********, and they told me that they never received a call from Galaxy auto place and they never spoke to anyone by the name of JAy so they tried to call on the three-way and they refused to talk to ********* stating that they were only dealing with the customer. I’ve been called Galaxy auto and received a voicemail and asked to be contacted back by a manager or supervisor, and still have not received a call.Business response

We have reached out to the customer and they are coming in next week to have these issues addressed.
