I had purchased a brand new ***** *** with an extended warranty package that included an undercoating from Ziebarts. When I arrived at my scheduled appointment on Oct 10th, a serviceman told me about another package that included a ceramic coating, windshield protection from rain x and a few other things. I was really hesitant as I didn't think I needed it but he kept going on and on, telling me he can't live without it on his vehicle and there was even insurance deductions. So after a lot of compilating and him talking me into it, i decided to do it. After all, I would get my money back with the insurance deductions. Wrong! My insurance company said there was no deductions for that... But worse, after having all of it done, driving home, I couldn't even see out of my windshield. When the sun hit it, it was a complete smear. I was absolutely terrified driving on the thruway. I was stuck hoping to survive! I got to Grand Island and called Ziebart immediately. They were closed at that time and I was on my cellphone which I did get a message from them until I got home but it was too late. I had to risk my life getting home. I washed the inside of my window twice that day..Once with soap and water, once with water and vinegar. It still had a film on it. Since, I have washed my window every week and it still has a funky film on it that keeps fogging up.. Not as bad as the first time I drove it but its still bad. Ziebart has offered for me to come back to redo any mistakes but 1. its a hour away. 2. I personally want nothing to do with the place. They screwed up my car and lied to me in the process. I hate the place and I never EVER want to go back. Not even for the undercoating. I don't know if it was the undercoating or the ceramic overcoat but I smelled paint fumes, the same ones that are inside Ziebart, for months too.. the smell is finally dissipating after 5 air fresheners at all times. I am HIGHLY unsatisfied at the fullest extent and do not want to pay this bill!Business response

Customer satisfaction has always been #1 with us and we attempted to do the same with this customer. I personally spoke to her and offered for her to come back, or for me to send one of our employees to her home to clean the windshield(she mentioned cleaning the inside of the windshield but the only treatment was done on the exterior) she also mentioned paint fumes to me on the phone and i explained to her on a few seperate occasions during the call that we dont do any type of paint work in our entire facility and id be happy to show her and walk her around. Im not sure why she would have thought there would be insurance deductions due to a paint sealant but thats the first ive ever heard of something like that. We stand by our products and warranties and ill happily set up a time to clean the windshield for this customer. All services that were paid for were completed and the customer did take delivery. Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. I was lied to about this and given a c*** product. I don't care if you were willing to come out and fix your mistake.. its the point that I barely made it even home. You are calling me a liar. I am telling you I smell the same smell thats in the building, in my car.. I call it paint fumes but whatever that smell is has been attached to my car, giving me headaches since I got the car done. I had to put 5 air freshers in my car to try and overpower the scent. You obviously did put something in the inside of my window because I have been washing it once a week since to get the film off. it keeps fogging up, making it difficult to see. You ruined my car. I NEVER want to return to zeibarts. The guy talked me into this telling me theres insurance deductions just when i was saying no..He made it sound so good, can't live without it and he straight up lied and i notice no difference in my car except the ruin of it. Horrible company to do business with. Two bad experiences with them. "Vin" the district manager rushes people off the phone when they have a issue. Stated they called and never did... Can't wait to trade this car in so I never have to use their service again!!!!! Not willing to wait until June to get my car done.Business response

The customer had an appointment that he failed to show up for. When he called to reschedule that appointment we did our best to accommodate him to the best of our abilities. After trying to explain to him when the appointment was he became verbally abusive to multiple members of our staff including myself with a lot of swearing and screaming. The customer then scheduled an appointment at another location for late April so I'm not sure why hes saying he doesn't want to wait until June...he is scheduled at another location for later this month(April). Paid over $4400 for ppf film to protect my cars paint as well as ceramic coat protection. The 1st attempt was horrible and was redone. After being done 2 times I am having issues rear bumper wrap is pealing off. Hood had a stretch mark white area that is damage from install. They didn't remove a sticker as promised both times car was worked on Fenders not redone. I am not willing to keep taking my car back to get redone over and over. I am ready for a full refund of my purchase price from both services. The general manager will not reply or return my call.Business response
