My wife and I filed sought the services of DSJ for tax preparation. We were assured top notch service. We had a call with *************** of **** Law in Nov of 2023 in advance. **** merged with DSJ and in Feb of 2024 we reached out to work with them as we had several life events. We spent hours and hours detailing out all of our info. We were assured care and guidance. We submitted our previous year filings in Feb. they never retrieved them we had to submit them again 2 more times over the next 2 months We then submitted all of our detailed documents and spreadsheets and all needed to do a top tax preparation a month in advance. We followed up so many times and no one ever responded. We called. We emailed. Nothing. We were so nervous. We went from being told we will be taken care of to being completely ignored. We had no idea what to do. Then on tax day they finally communicate. We had to send all of our forms again. They never even looked at all the detail. We expected a back and forth. A working with us. Never happened. They clearly rushed thru our filing since there were only hours left to file. They told us we would not be charged much if anything. And now we are getting hit with a ***** bill and threatening to take us to court if we dont pay. These people are awful. A total scam and sham. Would not advise anyone to work with them. They missed a critical business tax deadline, and offered to do it 2 months later!! at a rate way beyond reasonable. They apologized for messing up but did not fix the issue. I am now subject to an IRS penalty, and if my new accountant cant get it waived, I WILL be suing DSJ for negligence, in order to recover the money. Also i had to call 5 times to get them to change another error. they are so unprofessional. wouldnt wish them on my worst enemy. These folks are really the least professional people I have ever worked with. UPDATE: The IRS has levied a 2000$+ fine on my business. I have formally complained to the NYS Licensing Board, who are investigating DSJ for negligence.Customer response

At this time, I have not been contacted by DSJ CPA regarding complaint ID ********. They have ignored all my emails. I have also filed a complaint with the state licensing board.
