Went to IVY Rehab in *******, **. During my therapy, they changed their agreed upon rate with the insurance company without notifying me that I would need to pay more money for each session. Did not return phone calls to discuss why they increased their rate during my therapy sessions without notifying me. Eventually, sent me a past due balance form informing me that they were going to send me to collections. Totally not professional!Review from Alyssa B

Ivy Rehab charged me $100 for the appointment, I went in got a 20 minute massage and they had me doing cat cow stretches for my lower back. Since then I didn't go back because I didn't think it was worth $100 and I received an additional $74.32 bill after they ran it through insurance. I wish I saw this site beforehand as they told me it would only be the $100 fee. I would 0/10 not recommend as they completely tell you the wrong amounts and make you pay upfront. Terrible business.Review from David Y

Ivy Rehab is not a reputable company. They were not honest about their fees and charged me almost twice the estimated per visit cost. This resulted in several hundred dollars of additional expense for me. Neither the local staff nor the home office would take any responsibility for their mistake and make any accomodation. Not even an apology. If you're needing PT best go elsewhere.Ivy Rehab Network Inc. Response

Thank you for your comment. Patients are provided an estimate of their insurance benefits when scheduling services. We have additional options for patients without insurance coverage. We appreciate your feedback.Review from Rita R

Quite possibly the worst billing experience I've ever encountered. I typically write reviews for positive experiences. This was THE WORST experience ever. When I first made an appointment at Ivy Rehab in Highland **, I was told I need to pay a $40 copay each time. I did that. Months later a bill came. I called the local office only to find that Ivy Rehab is a corporation and have central billing offices. I ended up speaking with the Regional Manager who told me NOT to pay the bill. He also told me I'd be due a refund. I told him I'm not worried about a refund but wouldn't pay the bill, like he told me. A month later another bill came. Called him back and he called the billing office and put me in touch with a woman named *******. She assured me she'd handle it and the invoice would not go into collections (mind you we're talking about $124). I thanked her. Then she called back saying I did owe that money. She put me in touch with her supervisor, *****, who also told me I needed to pay the bill. I told them both their Regional Manager told me NOT to pay the bill. They said they were sorry but the bill had to be paid. Now, when a manager says something like that, the company owns it. Long story short, they sent me a letter saying that if the bill wasn't paid within 30 days I'd be sent to collections. WORST company ever. How can a Regional Manager say not to pay the bill then someone else says you need to pay it or else.....As soon as they sent me the letter they would no longer respond to any of my phone calls. HORRIBLE COMPANY. Run faraway from IVY REHAB.Review from Dawn F

I would not recommend *** to anyone. The care was okay but the billing department is an aboluste disaster. I've been playing phone tag with them since October 2022 (it's August 2023..) and resolve the issue. I have kept extremely detailed notes of every call I've made because each time, it was like we were starting from **********. The person on the phone would promise me something and never follow through. I've attempted everything, calling for supervisors, corporate, etc. but I can't get the needed help. My account is about to go to collections and I can't get the issue corrected.Review from Lila G

I received physical therapy from an Ivy Rehab facility in mid 2022 and have been attempting to fix a billing issue on their part for over 6 months with no resolution. I have spoken to many people on the phone who are kind and polite, but nothing changes. Most recently, I requested a call back from a supervisor and was told I would receive a call back within 48 hours, which I never did. (They informed there is no way for me to directly contact a supervisor via phone or email, I just had to wait for a call back, which never came).I was assured by the facility that they took my insurance, and it was communicated to me that I would only have a small copay each session. The majority of my sessions were billed correctly as in-network and only charged a small co-pay, but 6 sessions of my treatment were billed by *** Rehab as out of network for seemingly no reason and no matter how many conversations I have with the staff, they persist in sending me bill after bill for treatment out of network for over $600. This is clearly an error on their part, as I was assured that the facility was in-network for me, an agreed upon copay was communicated to me beforehand, and all of my other sessions at the facility, except the 6 in question, were billed as in-network.Multiple representatives from the Ivy Rehab billing office have explicitly told me that the error is on their part and would be investigated and fixed internally, and yet still nothing has changed. I honestly feel like Im being scammed by this business and the bill is a sham (as 6+ months of it going unpaid has not affected my credit score in any way), and is being sent to me repeatedly in the hopes that Ill pay it just to make it go away (which I will not).Review from Dawn E

I was a patient at ivy rehab Plainview NY. I was seeing PT ******** who is excellent at his job. I originally went through my health insurance my case was eventually approved by owcp. When I switched over to owcp they said they could not get the approval. This went on for months eventually I found a new PT office and they got the approval within days. I have been requesting forms from the billing department for reimbursement to myself and my insurance company since August of 2022 I called over 10 times over several months. My health insurance also made a recorded phone call in October 2022. It is now December 22nd and I still have not received my requested forms and every time I call they say somebody will get back to me in a few days. Nobody has ever contacted me. Under the HIPAA law they are required to provide me with my medical and billing documentation.Review from So L.

I went to them pre-op last year. I also wish i could leave zero stars. Ivy Rehab Park Sports at ****************** Brooklyn has the most dishonest AND *unethical* billing department I've ever dealt with. The office "managers" who work with them are no better - they prey on vulnerable patients in pain and make them responsible for fixing their intentional "errors" in a convoluted system they count on us not understanding. We don't want the harassment or ruined credit so we just pay. They quote you one price for a session then reach out to your insurance and **** you a full YEAR later or MORE than 20 times the amount they quoted you. They charge you a YEAR later for errors made by their billing people, who are the most inept I've ever had the pure misery of dealing with. When you call to talk to the office manager, you're told there ARE no office managers when you just spoke to one in person the last time you were at your appointment. I also asked for an escalation to resolve my issue only to speak to the same bored rude *disinterested* billing person every time who clearly couldn't care less about correcting errors. They do not assist you EVER and evade requests for accountability. They are a disgrace to honest businesses everywhere and should be legally prevented from dealing with the injured or elderly EVER. Trying hard not to punctuate this with expletives. Worst healthcare experience of my life.Ivy Rehab Network Inc. Response

I would rather have given them zero stars. Similar to the other complaints, I have been receiving bills for services conducted 2 years ago. The amounts keep changing by service date for no reason. Every time I call, I keep getting a run around. Was once told by a customer service rep that they had over two years to **** someone for services.Review from Sanjay G

My wife had some therapy activities last year, as per their last statement Total Charges $9914.00 Adjustment ($8029.00)Insurance Pay ($1035.00)Patient Pay ($850)Which makes the final balance to Zero, ($.0.0), I am not sure why we are getting letter for collection for $1061.00 We don't have any clue which payment we left out unpaid, asking the details activities/charges, adjustment and payments. We are not able to get the clear picture. Please watch out your **** carefully.
