Hello, I went to the Joe's Kwik Mart located at **** Main Street, Williamsville NY on Tuesday August 29, 2023 at 5:58 pm EST I ordered $20 worth of gas, a ******* ***** ***** and a 2L ******. I was told by the cashier the amount owed is $27. This raised a red flag because what I ordered should not have costed $27. Upon leaving the store I noticed the cashier did not give me a receipt, I went back into the store and asked the cashier for a receipt and he stated wait one moment and he pulled out sunflower seeds from under his desk and he unscanned the sunflower seeds and gave me my receipt along with a refund for the sunflower seeds I never ordered. The receipt had sunflower seeds on it which shows that the cashier robbed me by adding sunflower seeds to my receipt for himself and he thought I would not notice. I would like to report this and I encourage the store to check their store camera because this cashier that was working at the store during this shift on this day is stealing from customers and my evidence proves that the cashier tried to rob me. I attached the photo of the receipt and the cash the cashier gave me back which proves the cashier scammed me because I paid using a debit card and the patient gave a refund because the cashier purchased sunflower seeds using my card without permission.Business response

Hello, Upon investigation of this incident I discovered the employee working had price checked an item on the sales floor by scanning the item on the register. The item was the sunflower seeds the customer accidentally was charged when he purchased gas. The sunflower seeds was not voided on the register before the customer came in to purchase gas. When the customer came in and confronted the employee about the overcharge, the employee apologized and refunded him the overcharge. This was not intentional by the employee.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. This incident was intentional by the employee because the employee was eating the sunflower seeds when I came back into the store to ask the employee why I was overcharged. Camera footage of the incident from inside the store will show the employee eating the sunflower seeds and that the sunflower seeds were opened by the employee upon when I came back into the store. I reported this incident to the police.
