On April 16, 2024 Christopher J****, Owner of D.C Landscaping-Williamsville, NY, met with me at my house to review a landscaping job involving planting a large garden bed to hold 5-staked Juniper bushes. Christopher J**** provided me a timeframe of 3-4 weeks for the job to be completed. An estimate totaling $4100.00 was sent to me the following day, 4/17/24, which required a 50% deposit in order to schedule the job. I paid $2,050.00 on 4/18/24 and the funds were debited from my checking account on 4/19/24. I phoned and spoke with Erica J**** approximately 2 weeks later to find out when the job would be scheduled for completion. She promised a call back but never called back. Repeated attempts to contact the business have been unsuccessful, all calls go to voice mail, both cell number and main business phone number. Today, 5/17/24, I drove by the business address and found all signs removed in front of the building. It appears the business has closed.Business response

Advised customer via email 5.21.24 on new arrival time and if that did not work we would refund the deposit. Apologized for the delay in response. Customer stated he is selling his house and would like a refund. Stated that our signs are down and that we are no longer in business. Our signs are up. We are still in business. Received the complaint from the BBB today and had already responded to customer and refund mailed out 5/21/24 .

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Hiwever, until I receive my refund this case should remain open.
