I have not received a premium billing for life insurance policy on my wife ***************************** DOB 09/07/54. I had received a notice that payment was overdue which I received while travelling. As soon as I returned I wrote a check for the premium and it was received and cashed by Relistar/Voya. My bank transactions show the check was cashed in May 2024. I have tried to resolve this and tried to get any update from them to no avail. I need to know why no premium billing has been received and I want to make sure the policy is still in effect.

Received a letter saying insurance policy had lapsed (after I paid annual fee on line). Only contact information for the company is a phone number with a "two to three hour" wait time and no human beings reachable.

For many years I was paying for life insurance coverage through ReliaStar. The payment I think as $81. In May of 2023 I contacted the company by phone to cancel the policy, which they did. Since then, now months June, July, August, September, October and November the company has continued to take out $55 per month from my bank account. I spoke to them in August 2023 to get to the bottom of the withdrawals and to have them stop. A case was set up then, but cancelled. They say the policy and charges have been discontinued and they have no further record of payments being withdrawn. Now it's December 2023 and the withdrawals have continued and again they say the policy and charges have been discontinued and they have no further record of payments being withdrawn. On my bank statement though I continue to have these $55 charges withdrawn. Another case was opened at this time, but I little faith that anything will be different from the previous case that was opened in August and remains unresolved on my end but was closed on ReliaStar end.

For the past 32 years, I have regularly paid an annual premium $3,300.00 for a $250,000 life insurance policy, due on July first of every year. The annual premium payment was $3,800.00 from **** to ****4, and was reduced to $3,300.00 in ****. I have never missed a payment and paid my last annual premium in June of 2023. On Friday, October 24, 2023, I received a FINAL NOTICE of CANCELLATION stating my policy had been terminated as of Oct. 24, 2023 due to nonpayment of premium. The notice claimed my premium of $4,618.42 had been due on August 2, 2023 and had a final due date of Oct.24, 2023. Since this was the first I had heard about such a premium, I was convinced this was an error of some kind. So, on the following Monday, Oct. 27, 2023, I called **************** at ********************** to resolve the error. However, I was told there was no error. Here is what I was told, by a rep and then again by a Supervisor who identified herself only as ****************:/My last annual $3,300.00 premium payment, which had been received, now only covered me for three months. The $4,618,42 payment was for a three months period ending on August 2, 2023. My premiums had been raised because it was more expensive to maintain my policy because of my age (88).The policy now had absolutely NO CASH VALUE because of recent high interest rates. I was simply out of the $108,900 I had paid in to the policy. The policy could be reinstated if I paid the additional $4,618.42 and continue to pay this amount every three months. I want to stress that I had never been notified of any change in the planned annual plan rate of $3,300.00. Reliastar knew that I would be impossible for me to pay a new premium in excess of $18,000 a year. I feel that something might have been manipulated to assure that the policy would lapse before the company would have to pay out $250,000.00 in a relatively short period of time, considering my age.

On June 28, I paid my ins. bill which was due 7/5/23. (I received the bill two days prior to the 28). The bill was the normal bill I receive from Reliastar Life with a preaddressed envelope.(I am not sure if they changed companies or just the name of company. I was sent no information on any changes). On 7/22 I received a lapse notice telling me to send the form along with my payment. I immediately called and informed them my payment was sent via bank check on the 28th. they told me to wait 1-2 weeks to see if they received the check. On 8/30 I called to check in on what was going on. I told them again the bank withdrew my payment and sent it. They told me they were reviewing it and then informed me they had changed address, and to send a copy of the statement showing the bank payment. I did this immediately. On 10/6 I received a notice that the bank returned the money to my account, as they would not deposit my check. I called again to resolve this issue and they informed me that they are STILL investigating and I have to fill out paperwork that they will send (taking another 2 weeks) to fill out for reinstating my policy. As it stands I have not had life insurance which I paid for on time since July. I want my insurance as it was as I paid on time as I always do.Policy # ******* What I sent to them: **** of my bill **** of their preaddressed envelope **** of my bank statement showing the date and amount of payment

A whole life insurance policy was purchased for me by my grandmother in ****. I have been in contact with ReliaStar personally and via the agent who currently services my policy numerous times requesting documentation to support ReliaStar's assertion that dividends were previously withdrawn from the policy. No documentation has been provided on when and how these alleged dividends were withdrawn. When we have inquired about the cost basis of the policy, numerous figures have been provided, none with adequate documentation to support them. Requests for call backs from supervisors have been unanswered.
