Hudson valley water company in past 6 months has turned me off 3x without written or any warning. I know I was behind and thats my fault. Im single disabled mother on disability. Who has budget everything. In past month he has left me 2 voicemails threatening to shut me off again if dont pay remaining balance asap. I just paid half bill in December during Christmas time to avoid this issue again. My kids/granddaughter went without material things for this reason but thats ok. I have saved 2 voicemails for evidence if needed. With turning on and off a reactivate fee I obviously cant afford these added fees over and over. Thank you

This customer has a current balance due of $816. They have been in arrears with large balances going back at least 5 years, with only sporadic payments. They had given the Company 3 post dated checks in December. These were only done due to avoid further shut off, which is the remedy prescribed by the ************************* for delinquent accounts. 2 checks actually cleared the bank. The last check dated 1/1/24 was returned by the bank as NSF. The Company, in compliance with PSC regulations did send this customer written notice of shutoff prior to this occurring. Furthermore I called the customer to try to avoid a shutoff. The Company is always willing to accept partial payments and work out payment plans with customers, but the customer cannot ignore bills and notices completely and then complain about the results afterwards
