On 11/5/21, my mother, ***********************, age 89, changed her home owners policy from policy # ********** with Associated Mutual Insurance to policy # **********-1 with State Farm. We tried to notify the agent, **************, for months to no avail. Finally, in April, 2022, we received the attached letter from Associated Mutual Insurance and on 4/13/2022 I responded with the attached letter, with evidence that they received it. Rather than issuing her a prorated rebate for roughly 1/2 her fully prepaid policy from 4/22/21-4/22/22, they now send her bills for $315.05 for that prepaid period. My mother is due roughly a $1,000.00 refund for the reimbursement of the unused portion of the policy. The full year was roughly $2,000.00. Please advise if you need any additional information. Better Business Bureau:
At this time, I have not been contacted by Associated Mutual Insurance Company regarding complaint ID ********.
However, now they sent the policy to a collection agency rather than sending the ororated refund. The situation is now worse than originally stated.
