Shopping for a bathroom remodel our salesperson ***************** insisted on selling us a ******** bath faucet, over a more popular names like: Delta, ****, ******. complaining that the other manufacturs were too difficult to order from, and ******** was a top quality all brass fixture unlike the others. With lack of any real knowledge about shower faucets we we along with his advice and made the purchase of a ******** ********MB for $1091.55 to be delivered in two weeks. After two weeks we called *** and he said the product was delayed he would look into it. A week later he got back to us and said Consumers hadn't paid ******** so until it gets resolved the product would be delayed. We called our contractor and gave up our start date not to hold up his business while waiting for this product. Three weeks later the product arrived. But our start date got pushed to July because of Consumers delays. The first day of the remodel the contractors License Plumber arrived to install the shower body, after reviewing the product he asked if we purchased this item on Amazon, He refused to install this product because of the inferior quality of the product and stated he would leave and we could find another plumber to do the install claiming that putting this product behind tile walls would be questionable and didn't want his reputation to be diminished based on installing such poor quality shower body. We asked the plumber to purchase a shower body he found reputable ( Delta ). We called *** and explained we needed to return this ******** product and he stated we had to state it was a poor quality item and he would work with his manger. After two weeks of delays he refused a return stating it was a special order so not returnable. This was NOT a special order it was right out of his sales booklet on his computer a standard shower body with a shower nozzle and a hand held in Matte black. This is a scam and Consumers is hiding behind this special order excuse.Business response

As stated, in responses to other reviews by the customer, we strongly disagree with your assertion that you were sold an inferior quality product. It does, in fact, have solid brass construction and its German-engineered valve is so well-made it is the only one available in the industry that does not require grease to lubricate the ceramic sealing disks. The product is also backed by a Lifetime warranty against defects in material and manufacturing workmanship for as long as you own your home.
An item is considered a Special Order if it is ordered specifically for a customer and is not stocked in our **********************. Where the item is picked from or how standard the item is, is not a defining factor whether it is special order or not.
The item can be returned to the Patchogue showroom and we will process a refund when received in our warehouse, the refund usually take 5-7 business days.Customer response

I ordered a cabinet door over 6 months ago. The door was delivered damp. After informing the store. Another door was ordered I waited over 2 months for the replacement door to be delivered. Once the door was delivering it was the wrong color therefore another door was ordered. I waited another month for the repair. After applying 1 month. I contacted the store once again only to have them tell me they deliver the wrongs color again. Ive been waiting for over a week after speaking with the store manager and I have not received my door.Business response

Our kitchen garbage cabinet is faulty and has actually fallen off completely. I have reached out several times, which detailed information and pictures and was told it would be taken care of. I reached out on February 19th, 2023 and *************** told me she would open a case for me and this has still not been taken care of. The last I heard anything was August 27th when a man named **** called to see if the situation has been resolved. I told him no and I haven't heard anything since. The case number is ****** . As this has been going on for well over 8 months without a resolution I have no choice but to reach out to you for assistance in finally getting this taken care of.Business response

Customer has received replacement parts from manufacturer on Friday 11/17/2023. Customer has requested installation instructions. Consumers has requested installation instructions from Manufacturer. Consumers **************** is in contact with customer. Once we receive instructions, we will send to customer.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Firstly , the railing that they sent with this is cracked so I dont even know if it will be able to be installed. Secondly, we were told the instructions would come with it as it is a different style than what was originally installed. We hired a contractor to install the defective cabinet and will have to pay ****** for it to be installed, which we accept. However, they did not send directions as promised and now the contractor, who is coming tomorrow, will have to try to install it without the needed directions. If he is unable to do so correctly , we will not only be out the ****** we paid but also still have no functioning carnage cabinet. This has been going on since early February, 2023

I purchased kitchen cabinets from Consumers Kitchen and Baths in April 2022. They were delivered and subsequently installed on June 27, 2022. After the installation, I noticed that one of the cabinets installed was the wrong type. The top drawer in one of the cabinets is not level. I also noticed that the shelves for another cabinet were defective. I also noticed that the paint at one of the cabinet door seams is flaking as well as the joint between the style and run of the cabinet door was out of line. I paid almost $6,000.00 for these cabinets excluding installation. ALL of which needed to be paid prior to installation. Complaints made to Division Manager ******************* since June 29, 2022, have gone unresolved. I would like all of my complaints resolved and a promised refund be made.
