    on April 9th my car was totaled, leaving me without a vehicle. My insurance company provided me with a rental for a certain amount of days, ending on the 5th of May. On June 29th I found a car I wanted to purchase at Subaru of Utica, Yorkville NY. We agreed on a price, I put down a deposit. I explained, in great detail, how important it was that I pick up the car the following Friday, May 5th, because i had to return the rental and would then be out of a vehicle completely. The salesman assured me it would be ready. I gave him my insurance information and told him I would email my registration the following Monday, May 1st, which I did. The following day, I called the salesman to see if he received the email, no response. Same Thing the following day and the day after that. That Thursday, May 4th, i received a text from him, he told me he hadn't gotten my e-mail, which was confusing because when i resent it, he responded that he did receive it,and that was the last I heard from him that day. My insurance company applied my coverage to the car on the 5th. 15 minutes before i was to pick up the car, he called to tell me they couldn't find the title! I had just returned my rental. He told me they were trying to track down the title and he would call me back. On the following day, I called and left a message, no response. On Monday, the 8th, i left another message, no response. I did ask for a manager, and was sent to salesmans voice mail. Tuesday, the 11th, I borrowed a car and went to the dealership. I asked for a manager, and was told all managers were in a meeting. The gentleman that I talked to said he would discuss my situation with the manager after the meeting, I had to leave because i had to return the car I borrowed and find a ride to work. Before I left, he told me they would provide me with a rental until they could find the title and he would call me back to discuss it. When they called me back that evening they said they still had no title, but should have it the following day and he would call me by 11 am, (10th). He called me back at 3:30, and now is telling me that the company they bought the car from doesn't have the title either and that company needs till Monday, May 15th to find it! When I asked for a loaner car, I was told it's not their fault, the loaner car would cost them money, so I'm still without a vehicle, My question is, if the dealership I bought the car from doesn't have the title, and the dealership they bought the car from doesn't have the title,is this legal in NYS? Not to mention my car insurance has been attached to a car I don't have possession of! I have not received any communication from them since the last call on the 10th. I'm a 62 year old woman who needs a car to get back and forth to work daily. I don't have a car to even look for another car! I certainly would never have to agreed to buy a car from a company that can't produce a title to a car they clearly sold, A company that refuses to lend me a car while they try to fix their mistake. a company, at the very least, won't return phone calls or e-mails. As far as I'm concerned, they are in breach of contract as of May 5th at 3 pm and may be doing business in an illegal manner. anything you can do to help me would be greatly appreciated. **** ****** ******************** ************
